I really like the overall story, but the game has some pretty wonky controls that you frequently have to fight. The games puzzles were unsurprisingly pretty tough to figure out. The graphics are quite good for 2012. The controls definitely weigh the game down a bit, though.

I honestly loved Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion, it’s a short, yet very sweet, action adventure game and the humor is excellent. It’s also filled with a pretty great cast of characters, and the soundtrack was equally superb as well.

Guardians of Holme, is a decent enough game, but admittedly, it’s not something I enjoy very much. The permadeath progression system, coupled with the rough artwork and the repetitive music, made it a rather annoying journey, rather than a fun one.

Honestly, I think that Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders holds up pretty well, especially if you love retro first person shooters as much as I do. The recent uptick in popularity for the genre also makes this one an easy to recommend game, especially if you want something more akin to DOOM.

Overall, I honestly liked FUR Squadron, it’s a fun game overall, and while it may not have very many levels, or much content, it makes up for it by having some pretty solid gameplay within the 6 levels available. A bit on the short end, and the enemies aren't as hostile as it seems they should be.

The Unliving is a pretty decent game, but I wouldn’t call it amazing or anything. It’s a pretty average game, I’d say. While it may not be the most impressive game that I’ve played this year, I will say that it’s still a lot of fun to play in quick bursts. I will also say that the game can be quite time consuming because if you fail a run, you have to start at the beginning of the game again, which definitely makes the game feel pretty repetitive after a while.

Overall, Deliver Us Mars is a really well made game, and I wound up loving every second of it, well, except for the climbing sections, those were kind of frustrating but the rest of the game is excellent. If you’re in the market for a new sci-fi game, then I definitely recommend Deliver Us Mars, it’s a great sequel, and a thrilling ride from start to finish.

Overall, I thought Among the Sleep was an enjoyable journey through the mind of a 2-year-old. Its visual storytelling is great and its overall story is quite good as well.

Black Mirror 3 has easily been the best game in the original series. It’s got only a couple minor caveats and is generally a big improvement over Black Mirror 1 and 2. It’s an entertaining game and despite the fact that I didn’t really enjoy the previous games, I do feel this one is definitely worth playing.

Spells & Secrets is a pretty solid roguelike, and its magical school theme will definitely be a hit among fans of Harry Potter. The game is quite lengthy as well, and there’s a ton of stuff to unlock and utilize. I also like the fact that you can change your skill loadout at any given time, which allows you to adapt to any situation. The combat system, while a little slower paced than most games in this genre, is really well designed and there’s lots of ways to approach a situation.

I think Skydrift Infinity is a pretty decent remaster of one of my favorite arcade style racing games. The gameplay is still fun and the updated graphics look great, but it reaaaally doesn't like ultra-wide monitors, and has major scaling issues. There's also no graphics options to fix this either, which is honestly kind of disappointing.

I actually enjoyed Black Mirror 2 a little more than the first game but not by much. The game has its own set of issues that I wound up being frustrated with by the end of the game. It also takes forever to get going, which made me pretty bored of it by the 4th chapter. Once it picked up pace, I found that I enjoyed it more but that first half of the game was a complete drudge.

I think the game was pretty entertaining, and I had a lot of fun with it. It was also pretty nice being able to get a good ending for a change. Normally when I play choice based games like these everybody winds up dead, I’m not great at life or death decision making it would seem, ha.

I honestly loved The Invincible, it was a fascinating journey through a retro sci-fi lens, and I’m a pretty huge fan of retro sci-fi. The game features an intriguing story, beautiful alien landscapes, a great soundtrack, interesting characters and much more. If you’re a fan of walking sims, like myself, then you’ll no doubt enjoy this game.

I didn’t really enjoy this one, and I rank it as my least favorite in the series. It wasn’t as funny, the puzzles were tedious and kind of irritating, and it’s just as unpleasant an experience as Space Quest 1, which is my 2nd least favorite.
