Carrion allows the player to solve its many puzzle-like encounters with an impressive level of genuine variety. Instead of feeling forced into one of two paths, picking the one I like better as many real-time combat puzzle games often do, I felt I was able to experiment and feel satisfied when my plan worked out.

The story and atmosphere were subtle but ultimately not too interesting, but the mechanics driving movement and combat were gripping enough to easily get me to the end of the game, though I didn't feel compelled to backtrack and find every secret.

I recommend this game to those who can stomach gore and want something short and visceral with a satisfying, definitive ending.
