What a strange game, I’m glad studios like Remedy still make stuff like this. This game has some major flaws but I think it’s worth playing nonetheless. A lot of the dialogue and main story ranges from bad to fine, but i love all the periphery storytelling, and can see how Remedy would expand on it in Control. Never quite settles on a tone that works, spends the first couple hours doing a Twin Peaks pastiche before slipping into Stephen King. The gameplay is rock solid but doesn’t really evolve at all from the first 30 minutes. Also, is this the worst dodge mechanic in modern video games? I don’t really understand why this game developed such a following but that’s also none of my business. Live your life, I say.

Edit: Played the two DLC episodes, really liked what they did with environment manipulation.
