I feel like this game was perfectly average. The story wasn’t anything super memorable for me, but it made me want to keep playing, which definitely counts for something. I think the progression, gameplay, and Jedi abilities was fun to control while I platformed across the very well-designed paths, but no matter how pretty they looked, the worlds just felt like linear paths of blocks. And then in terms of finding everything in the end to 100% it, it just felt chaotic.

In terms of it being a Star Wars game, it didn’t feel too much like Star Wars to me. At least not what I think of when I think of Star Wars—so that’s definitely where the subjectivity comes in for me (a weird Koopa-looking Inquisitor and a giant bird on Kashyyyk are perfect examples of this). I don’t know. It kind of felt too Nintendo-ey if that makes any sense. Of all Star Wars content, it felt most like a story out of Rebels or The Clone Wars, so it wasn’t my cup of tea. It WAS fun, though. And I’m glad I finished it for sure. But to be honest, I don’t see myself playing through it again.

P.S. Cal Kestis’ spazziness was pretty distracting.

P.S.S. BD-1 just felt like a walking video game cliché.
