Flawless action game with wild visual style and imagination.

Entertainingly B-tier comic writing and an A tier combat system (at least, once you advance far enough to pick up an interesting variety of cards). Pacing lets this game down. It just takes too long to get anywhere, both in terms of how the combat plays and how the story is doled out.

Enjoyable but flawed.

I'm a sucker for mechs and fromsoft games. Great gameplay (let down slightly by some builds being too good at too many things), excellent storytelling in a cold comics inspired mode, and some incredible set pieces that bring to life moments only hinted at by mecha anime. NG+ and NG++ modes are must plays, and really bring out the best parts of this game.
