This is an experience. A book, of sorts, with additional ambience.
It's also absolutely unmatched in narrative and theming. Definitely not a light read, and also the type of story in which you need to actually empathize with the characters to fully grasp it, even those most at fault.
Definitely recommend it to all those willing. It changed my life.

An absolute mess at launch. It's a different take on what Dark Souls brought to the table, something you can notice almost immediately during gameplay, and I appreciate it for that. It had creative ideas, and while most of them weren't implemented well, that still had merit.
After almost 10 years, I can kinda appreciate what this game did more than what Dark Souls 3 brought, but judging from my experience when first playing it, I can't say I enjoyed it more.
