no score here because I genuinely think I'd need to write a 5,000 word long essay to collect my thoughts on this game. it's as much of a disappointing mess as it is one of the most genuinely interesting & best feeling games I've played. I dunno man.

Probably some of the most conflicted feelings I've ever had on a game - it's probably the most fun I've had with a game period for most of my first playthrough, but it also feels like there's so many strange mistakes that earlier souls games didn't have, combat plainly isn't the best designed, & it relies on discovery for fun so much that I actually could not bring myself to complete a second playthrough beyond ~halfway as someone who usually plays these at least 4-5 times over
