Not even the jank of this game can ruin such a solid foundation. Despite all of its short comings, Yakuza 1 is still an absolute vibe.

Hands down, one of the most satisfying and crunchy combat systems on the PS2. The Story just goes off the rails at the end with 50 Plot-Twists in the span of 20 minutes.
The Remake did you so dirty my friend.

Overhated! There is a lot to enjoy about Yakuza 3.
It's just the slowest game in the series.

I probably like this game more than the average person.

I have never seen a story that makes less sense than this one..
Yokoyama was snorting Infinity Stones when he wrote this.
The Combat would be some of the best, if the game wasn't so piss easy

This is not the first game in the series.

Yakuza 6 really shows the potential they waste with the ridiculous large scale conflicts. These Stories are at their peak when it's genuine character drama without any crazy over the top political conspiracy shit.
The Game is unfinished and definitely lacking in many aspects of its gameplay, but the narrative is so good at getting you invested until the dumb ass battleship plottwist.

I think this is still a decent introduction to the series if you don't have the means to play the original,
but it is not a replacement. It improves on a lot of aspects of Yakuza 1, while also fucking up others astronomically.

And the fact that this is a complete reskin of Yakuza 0 is lazy as fuck

The story is too fucking long and doesn't know what "keeping momentum" means

You can finally play Yakuza 6 with the story of 2, now featuring:
worse presentation, worse progression, worse music, worse combat, worse pacing, worse side activities and cut content with the addition of shit no one fucking asked for.

This game saved my mental health.

The combat makes my pants wet.

fuck the story and just focus on the god tier combat please.

I love the ending and a lot that was missing from 6 is here,
but how do you fuck up the pacing in a game that is only 5 chapters long???
