Curiosity, ingenuity, and willpower are all baked into the game’s design, allowing players to express themselves and solve problems in almost infinite ways. That it tells the best narrative in Zelda history and features terrific music, art direction, and dungeons is merely the icing on the cake. It’s a masterwork and one of the very best games ever made — potentially the best.
