I'm writing this review as I'm "finishing" up the game.

This game is alright! It is great for shutting your brain off while doing something else such as watching a show or listening to your friends talk on voice chat (which is what I did in the later half of my playtime)

It's a simple "numbers go up" game where every couple of levels you get a cute new thing to treat the unending waves of capybaras that show up.

My only real complaints about the game are:
- The amount of slots for furniture is uneven (65 or so), and this number drives me up the wall because I can't get to round up the amount of stuff I have
- Customization of decoration is very limited, perhaps if they gave you more choices re:colors or if you could dye some of them it would help make your own spa "unique"
- The insects meant to automate parts of the process feel very slow sometimes even with all the upgrades in place. I thought near the end of the game / "progress" tree I would get access to insects that would A) Remove and put new capybaras (as well as small animals) in baths or B) Drag flowers to make soap. It feels weird that this was not implemented in a game where you can "automate" most of the other things.
- Achievements make it sound like white capybaras are rare but I saw them often enough to forget they were ever rare and from what I've gathered the amount of coin gained from "rare" animals was negligible when compared to regular animals, it probably would make more sense to make them provide more coin to give the player something to be attentive to.

I played this game to completion when it was released back in 2011. I have very little memory of that time (as I was 14), my only memories were crafting one gazillion daggers to level smithing, thinking Sovngarde looked cool as hell and that one cave with the glowing mushrooms.

On a mission to start going through my start library, I downloaded it again, wanting to check the DLC that came out since then and maybe now with an adult brain and a much better grasp on the English language maybe enjoy the game a lot more.

I did not enjoy this game more, if anything as I kept playing I kept wondering "how did I like this in the first place?"

The voice acting is terrible, the menu/ui is bugged as all shit, the quests are either so simple it is insulting or look like they COULD be complex but Bethesda being what they are they go "no, don't think about it so hard", the combat lacks any sort of "oomph" that makes it feel like you're doing any real damage.

I thought the newly added faux hardcore mode could make it a bit more challenging but because bethesda is terrible at doing anything, it is horribly implemented to the point of annoyance (not at the mechanics themselves but how horrible the UI represents these new challenges, if at all)

This may have retroactively ruined any non new vegas gamebryo game for me as it just made me go "who gives a shit?" near the end of my attempt to replay this.

I know buggy things are par for the course of bethesda but I fist fought someone at a bar, got my ass whooped and the game soft locked my character in a "wounded" animation, unable to do anything but reload.

Like a Dragon watered down to the most basic formula is a little devoid of soul. Story only gets okay near the final half hour.
