Great concept, sadly, handicapped by the limitations of the platform.

Imagine a mix of Max Payne and Prince of Persia set on the megapolis-planet of Coruscant in the Star Wars universe? Well, this is what this game could've been. There's a lot of ambition here that clashes hard with the fact it's a handheld title. The game uses auto-aiming, which makes combat very simplistic. They rely on dodging and your droid-ally attacks to make it more fun, but both constantly struggle to work around the level geometry.

The graphics look really nice, but you can see textures and models pop in when they enter your field of view, and there's a very noticeable screen tearing. Coruscant is a really picturesque planet that can at times resemble the aesthetic of Blade Runner. And this game looks really nice when it tries to draw outside environments. But this being PSP again forces it to place most levels in boring claustrophobic corridors and warehouses.

The controls can be a pain in the ass too. You use L and R to rotate the camera horizontally, and have to stand still to rotate it in 3D. When in combat, you can't control camera at all. You're constantly locked onto the enemy you're fighting with and can switch targets, but can't unlock.

All in all, this makes for a very underwhelming experience, barely above average. You can have fun with this game, if you're really hungry for Star Wars on PSP, and the other titles (such as Battlefront 2 or Force Unleashed) cannot suffice. But I really don't see why anybody would waste their time on this little unremarkable game.
