A beautiful tribute to Wonder Boy wrapped up in a slick and attractive package. The art style is the real attraction here, with colorful cartoony sprites bounding across endless fields, valleys and pits. The level design is subtle, with an emphasis on jumping puzzles, tight combat spaces and kinetic motion. Monster Boy keeps its ambitions simple, its enemies patterned and its music bopping.

A wonderful arcade game with staffing issues. Having played the original 10-player arcade cabinet a bunch of times, I was not expecting the extent to which this game is a remake/sequel. The developers take care to hold the player's hand through the learning process and the netplay works great when you can find enough people for a full match.

The lack of players online is a real damper on the party. Matches are fast, frantic and exciting with a full squad - good luck finding a better couch co-op game on the switch.

A rhythm game with more groove than most - the big and expansive soundtrack by Kid Koala and co. is enough to make this game worth the purchase to me. Floor Kids is attractive, confident and pretty damn poppy with another person to compete against. Extra points for being able to cast magic spells by being good at dancing, i love that shit
