Game feels more like a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy I than anything. 4 nameless characters that go through a world in trouble.
Job system is cool, and some of the gimmick dungeons were cool. A couple portions of the mid game were questionable in what they expected you to do to "solve" a dungeon, but generally game gave you flexibility on what jobs you could use.
Average game, paved the way for other Final Fantasy games to do it better.

A sequel that improves on the original in pretty much every way imaginable. Amazing OST, generally good plot and unforgettable bosses make for a fun experience.
Good game, worth the PS5 purchase. Fun combat and likeable characters made for a very fun experience.
