Had my fill before finishing the game.
It was fun to explore the world and discover new things. A lot of the reused enemies and the catacomb dungeon things wore me out.
Online connectivity is still as confusing and slow as ever. Please just let us make multiplayer rooms and formal friend invites. Knock it off. The "limited item usage, you both have to be in the same spot, and the game won't tell you if you are unable to summon a particular player because of progress differences" sucks.

The online is very cumbersome in these games. I didn't mind it so much in Dark Souls because it was a very lonely game with a small world, but Elden Ring feels a lot more like a game that would benefit from convenient cooperation. Imagine how fun it would be if you could just connect and play through the whole thing with a friend, rather than doing it piecemeal. The hardcore warriors (should) be satisfied because they can just do it solo if they want, and the more "casual" audience can just have fun with their friends. Everyone wins.

Agreed. I don't know which audience they wanted to appease with this current system.
It just feels like doing things different for the sake of doing things different.
