The best of Yakuza's storytelling and gameplay put into a neat little package with a bow on top.
I loved the final few boss fights of this game. Genuinely an amazing experience that's too underrated.

THE RETURN OF PEAK FICTION!!!!!!!
Take everything you liked about Yakuza 0, now put it in a Dragon Quest style RPG. Many fans were hesitant about the gameplay change, but I think it's a welcome change of pace for the franchise. Not to mention it seems RGG Studios just knows how to make things fun.
The story hits you like a truck. Ichiban is so lovable that seeing what happens to him is like watching the entire world crumble around his feet. Nothing in it feels like bullshit and every revelation reframes everything in the story. GOD please let Yakuza: Infinite Wealth be this good!

This game is a return to form after the last three games being scuffed as all hell. The "finale" of Kiryu's story brings some of the best emotions since Yakuza 0. The ending still gives me goosebumps to this day.
If I hate to rate this game on story alone, it would get 5 stars, but the gameplay drags it down a bit. It's way too easy to just grab nearby objects and slam bosses in the face repeatedly to do a massive amount of damage. The final boss was also the weakest in the franchise.
Little baby Iwami.
