This game made me realize that Zelda games in general aren't my taste.

This is in fact my first Zelda game, so I have no nostalgia whatsoever with it and the overall aspect of the game didn't make it better, I'm way more interested in games that heavily relies on cutscenes and dialogues and unfortunately BOTW had little to no such aspects. The few characters I liked were all dead or just plot devices, basically it's YOUR story & journey, but it doesn't appeal to me at all...

I like being with my little group of friends while saving the world and stuff, but I get that BOTW was trying to do something totally different and I understand why.

It's a really good game, but it wasn't for me.

Halo Infinite is overall a pretty fun time despite some pretty questionable design choices. Had a lot of fun exploring Zeta Halo (though some activities were a bit too repetitve imo) and the gun play was never dull. Story is definitely the weakest element with some pretty uninteresting villians and a narrative that doesn't really feel like it goes anywhere. On the flip side I really liked Chief in this game and Weapon/Echo-216 being pretty solid supporting characters despite a somewhat rocky start. While I'm not 343s biggest fan (especially how they've been doing stuff with the multiplayer) I ultimately enjoyed the Campaign of Infinite and am cautiously optimistic of what they'll be doing with it in the future.

7.5/10

It feels weird to say the best Shantae game is the one that features none of Shantae's original abilities, but that's just how it is. Pirate's Curse continues the series' legacy of gorgeous sprite art, great music and quirky characters, adding in some of the most fun movement options of a 2D platformer in recent memory, and makes for an all around excellent title I can recommend to anyone looking for a great time with either Metroidvanias, or just 2D platformers in general.
