I actually liked this better than TotK. Cool that you could skip certain parts of the game…I should go back to it. The stacking rocks mini game frustrated me to no end. That’s a stupid criticism, but set the tone for me feeling this game was just average. Probably not fair…

Not a Monster Hunter guy but this game almost got me!! I played for quite a bit, but I’m not really that great at certain types of games and I guess this is one of them. Really struggled taking down those big monsters! Still really liked what they did here and would check out a sequel.

Octopath ii didn’t hook me like Sea of Stars did. I think it just seemed too complicated? I loved Live A Live last year and Octopath was similar to that. Might try and pick this up again down the road when I’m jonesing for a JRPG and I might warm up to it more.
