The darker atmosphere, sound effects, hauntingly beautiful scenery, and almost forensic gore did a great deal of making this game horrifying, even for a person like me who is usually not that afraid of horror. My only gripe, however, is the soundtrack being too ambient and quiet in contrast to the original, rendering the experience somewhat uncomfortable (in an awful way). Aside from that, the story was awesome aside from Leon's route.

Gameplay makes me feel unenthusiastic and makes me want to rip my hair out. Quests are more like chores. It's like an open world game that doesn't feel open world in the slightest. I stopped caring past the Inazuma section. What's even more is my last straw was the racism/orientalism of the Sumeru region, at which point I actually quit the game and deleted the app! I hope the developers all die under mysterious circumstances.
Big day for annoying people (me).
While I've never watched Twin Peaks, I certainly do find this game extremely charming and what I can only really describe as an endearing and bittersweet emotional rollercoaster. The twists are sometimes a little out of place, in addition to the old sound effects (then again, it WAS 2013 when this cut came out).

Well. I enjoy the mostly consistent characterization of the characters, the plot was amazing to go through, etc etc. Like 60% of the game is managing your inventory and 20% just watching doors open or elevators go up/down or going up the stairs/ladders. Truly an experience. So glad they took the door cutscenes and kept the toolbox for future games would not go through that shit again 🙏🙏🙏
