Pros
Tonally, the game was consistent throughout: just enough mystery and just enough magical realism. Great sound design both instilled fear and gave useful advance warnings. Mini-games were easily picked up without being repetitive, and the size/pace of each of the four chapters felt balanced. I originally finished with the "bad" ending, and loved the reflection/symmetry of the "good" ending. Once I got all of the upgrades, I felt invincible—which was a telling irony to the game's conclusion.
Cons
The onramp was a little slow: my ship moved like sludge in a way that made exploration scary and tedious. I also sunk my upgrades into the wrong tools at first. I wish that the ancient lighthouse sub-task had a little more to it and/or related more to the "good" ending narrative.
Conclusion
Wouldn't replay, but would certainly recommend! A lovely and stylistically unique management and exploration game.
