Got Ice Beam, Screw Attack, Max Energy Tanks, got to 200 missiles total and got through Areas 6 to 10. The final boss was especially fun with the roll in gut and bomb technique. Overall was really fun!

Got the Space Jump and Spazer Beam. Found Plasma Beam but skipped it since Spazer Beam is better.

Completed Areas 3, 4, and 5, started at beginning of Area 6.

Only 13 Metroids left to find.

Midnight Session: Played for about an hour and a half, beat Areas 1 and 2. Got the Morph Bomb, Ice Beam, and Spider Ball in Area 1, then Spring Ball, Wave Beam, High Jump Boots and Varia suit in Area 2 which gave Samus cool shoulder pads and made her look more red (to represent her orange better).

Killed 13 Metroids, only 26 to go.

Starting this on a whim and ngl, it's actually pretty fun so far!

The first interesting things I noticed is unlike Metroid NES, Samus can crouch now, she can fire downward when in the air, and she has morph ball from the start along with 30 Missiles, really cool how she kept a good chunk of power ups from Metroid NES. The game already feels a lot better, playing on the color filter which looks really nice and it has a lot of QoL already, linear but guides you well!

I left off on the map part of Area 1 where the two A's are (I'm right next to the A that points right on the map I'm using)
