A grown-up Nioh.
Despite liking and beating both Nioh games, I have always thought it was trying too hard to be different. It was too flashy and sometimes that took away from the experience.
This game is a clear step forward in game design from Team Ninja, mixing the Nioh formula with loads of different little things from other Souls-Likes out there, and, to be honest, for the most part, it worked out great.
Although the story did not interest me AT ALL, the combat mechanics were so good and most of the bosses were so fun to discover patterns and fight that it did not matter.
This coming out on GamePass was bliss and is a must-play for Souls-Like and action games enthusiasts.
