Never been a fan of FPS games, specially one from the late 90s, but Half-Life 1 managed to make me enjoy the genre a little bit more.

The game is 80% puzzles and 20% shooting, so the look of it may fool some people into thinking this is a generic and standard FPS, which is certainly not.

The story is told during gameplay and on one hand, this is awesome, specially for a 1998 videogame, but on the other hand, the lack of subtitles may leave some people out of the loop, specially non-native english speakers.

The last part of the game, Xen, kinda drags my score down A LOT, because we could have the same game without it and nobody would complain about it. It doesn't fit the gameplay until that point either.

Also, this game needs to be played while you constantly save, so I can't imagine how someone would beat it on a console.

It really is the masterpiece people said it was, and i'm glad I played, even at a very later date.
