DQI is great and short, nice introduction to the series and early JRPGs as a whole;
DQII is just plainfully bad. You can force yourself through it but the last quarter or so is a grind fest that I can only recommend to hardcore fans or those who are really commited to finish all the mainline games;
DQIII although it is a great game, the version here isn't the best way to experience it, being it the Android remake that it is, it lacks basic stuff, like sprite movement in battle and a better presentation overall. Still a serviceable version, but not as good as the Snes one. There's a HD-2D remake coming up, so if you didn't play it yet, I'd recommend to skip this one until the new version comes out.
