Ranking the Mario RPGs by Bowser Usage

What's a list without a Bowser appearance? A cruddy list, that's what!

I don't know enough about Sparks of Hope to rank it here. When I play more of the game, I will change that.

This is the best Bowser appearance. He's funny, menacing, awesome, and done complete justice both in story and in gameplay.
As a pure villain, this might be the strongest Bowser's ever been. If not, it's only slightly below Galaxy 1. Having him win at the very start of the game is a fantastic way to subvert the usual tropes of the Mario series, and the final battle with him is one of the best in the series.
Having Bowser as a party member is great. His dynamics with the other characters are really well-done and he's consistently funny throughout the game. Also, I like when he flaps his arms.
The first appearance of Funny Bowser, and still one of the best. He's got so many great moments, from forcibly joining the party to complaining about his nostrils to reading haikus after battles. Plus, he's an absolute beast in combat.
Bowser gets a lot of good lines in this game and I love his dynamic with Anthasma, but the real kicker comes in at the very end. If you know the story of Dream Team, you know what I'm talking about.
Seeing Bowser shafted to the sidelines is a bit disappointing, but he gets some great moments on those sidelines. The King of Guys Who Talk to Posters is an especially memorable one.
Bowser's dialogue here is great, both as himself and as Rookie, and it's cool seeing him team up with the Bros to face a greater evil. That said, it sucks that he's just a vessel for Cackletta in the back half of the game.
Bowser has some really good moments here, but they're unfortunately relegated to the very start of the game and the last chapter. But man, when they hit, they hit hard.
Most of PiT's focus is on the Shroobs, but Bowser still gets some good moments here. Both forms of him are entertaining, and it's neat seeing them team up for a boss fight, too.
There's some good Bowser moments here, but the main story is pretty forgettable and it honestly knocks him down a few pegs. Also, the betrayal subplot is half-baked and I have no clue why it's even here.
Bowser gets like, 2 good lines in this game. They're good lines, but otherwise he barely gets anything. I do like the reasoning behind why he was corrupted, though. It's cute.
Man, Bowser does nothing here. He's just there to be the final boss after Bowser Jr. does everything the entire game. I don't even think he talks.
