How come my depression doesn't let me turn into a square?

I can't say I understand the message Gris is trying to say but perhaps I'm just too stupid. However its clear this game is more than just a pretty art style and pleasant soundtrack and has some heavy-handed and deeply personal meaning behind it. The gameplay itself is nothing mind blowing but still remembers the most important part, being fun. The platforming and puzzle solving aren't overly challenging but still complicated enough where it doesn't feels like they, and therefore the game, play itself. The obvious stars of the show are the gorgeous art style and animation and an lovely soundtrack that frames everything nicely and elevates it to an atmospheric emotional level that doesn't come often.

It's pretty, its melodic, its fun. It's a truly likable, inoffensive and short experience

7/10
