such an incredible game.
sorta goofy and confusing to get into at first but when i did it was super thrilling and fun.
besides the final boss, my issues are mostly nitpicks i guess.

the treasure alarm sound is very annoying and couldve been a more pronounced onscreen visual setting option.

there shouldve been a reset sublevel button feature in the game menu instead of just physically shutting the game off and resetting it after making some grave mistake lol then if its an in game option the game could track how many times you reset the game for your endgame totals lol then your could really brag about how truly good you were at the game lol

maybe youre just meant to focus solely on the gameplay and not think too deep about the setting of the caves but theyre are often kinda bland and ugly looking visually with nonsense void rooms that somehow connect to each other through dirt holes? even tho some of them are metal/wood so how does that work? i wish it meshed more to be more immersive like the other games are. like why is there a kindergarten room in a cave? its a cute setting but none of it makes sense. maybe there couldve been magic space portals instead of dirt holes to explain all that lol whatever
but i wish the caves individually each had 1 singular consistent look for all their sublevels. its always random what theme itll be and it makes them all blend together too easily and i cant tell them apart by the names really.

the final boss sucks.
theres no health bar? its too dark and you cant see what youre doing, and the electricity instantly kills your non yellow pikmin which the other hazards dont do for other colors. its the only gameplay aspect that stops this game from being a perfect 5 star game for me. oh well

still loved this a lot tho. it was nice to remember what it feels like to play a real game again after all the fake lazy games that the switch era has given.
