Tough, but fair in-so-far that you have unlimited continues. This is a very effective recreation of the Contra Hard Corps style side-scrolling shooter, with a pinch of Metal Slug for good measure (you can hop into mechs.) Fun!

Solid metroidvania, but I grew tired of the story and by the end I was kind of pushing myself just to finish it. Worth a look though! Wonderful art and rock solid mechanics.
Playing this on PS4, and phew let me tell you: this game runs like shit. Screen tearing galore and framerate issues as far as the eye can see.
A shame, because there's potential here - though muddled as it currently is. The 2.0 patch on PC is said to be a major improvement, so I can't wait to try that out. I hated this game for a few hours but I've settled down a little and am getting a good kick out of it.
I've seen this described as Diablo + Crusader: No Remorse + the Warhammer license and hey that's kinda accurate. I could see over time this becoming a four-star review, but we'll see when the console patch drops.
