kind of a special little game. not only because it's on the neo geo pocket color (i played it with an emulator on my ds, though evidently it's also on the switch and pc now!), but also because it's a tight, short action rpg featuring elements of gothic horror pulling from classic monster stuff (werewolves, zombies, draculas) with a flourish of a weirder sort of biopunk tokusatsu reminiscent of the creations of keita amemiya, or of tetsuo in akira with his gnarly arm-thing. i mean, your actual weapon evolves as it feasts on the souls of the monsters you've busted. that's the game!

Played this as my first ngpc game when I got my flash cart last year and it set a wicked high bar, glad it's available in the collections for others (though they'll miss out on the best stick of any handheld)

yeah! would recommend this to anyone looking for a fairly bite-sized action game w/ light rpg elements.

god, i was so disappointed with the neo geo usb pad from several years back failing to include that wonderful clicky stick. no micro switches at all, just a springy thumbstick more akin to the saturn's 3d pad...
I had no idea this game even existed, but it sounds so original and unique I might end up playing it. The idea of fighting werewolves in a biopunk-like aesthetic is such a crazy combination that I need to see it for myself.
