A port of Contra
Probotector is the European port of Contra (Famicom), which changes the main characters and enemies into robots. It was made based on the Japanese version of the game, with the cutscenes changed accordingly.

Contra... WITH ROOOOBOOOTS
Not as good as the Japanese version, aside from the obvious robots, a few chip differences mean there's a couple of graphical flourishes missing. The levels are quite short, but otherwise a top run and gun.
Yep, it's just Contra 1 but with robots and a little slower.
