Not the greatest game out there and wasn’t what I was expecting but worth a go if you have PS Plus.

I didn’t really follow the story, but the combat was okay - nothing really stand out and it did get a bit janky at times.

Upgrades were very sparse and the traversal got a bit annoying also. But the environments were good at times.

I feel the same exact way about this as I did back in 2020. Great setting but mind-numbingly medicore gameplay.

Finished on Xbox Series X during Game Pass.

Interesting setting, visuals, and concepts. A top-down action game with some decent interaction-emphasized combat that calls back to Prince of Persia; whip around poles, wall-jump into strong attacks, and unleash wide area power attacks. There is even some weapon variety with melee and ranged attacks.

However, there are issues too. I ran into multiple progress halting bugs, one where the game wouldn't recognize a required input and a second where a battle area refused to spawn the next wave of enemies. Also, the game relies HEAVILY on dodges, which isn't inherently bad if not for things like finishers leaving you vulnerable and dodge timing (there's a one-two-three element to dodge animations) being important.

Might pick this back up eventually, but having to reboot the game three times in the span of an hour makes me wary to continue.

really wanted to like this one way more than I did, thanks to the novelty of the Indian mythological setting, plus great visuals, art direction, and production values for an indie team making their first game. Unfortunately, it's just not that good; the combat is serviceable enough, but not nearly deep or engaging enough to justify the percentage of play time spent in gated combat encounters. Puzzle-solving is basically nonexistent, and the platforming is either mindlessly simple or made needlessly difficult by the isometric camera. gave up when I got to the final boss, which (unless I encountered a bug) bizarrely locks you to a single weapon and takes away most of the abilities and techniques you've been using for the rest of the game.

Also, the UI for equipping elemental powers on a weapon is absolutely atrocious
