It has some good moments and it's a clear improvement over the Master System Rambo game, but it's still very forgettable.

Rambo III must have had executives seeing money bags for there to be three distinct games all bearing the same name. This rail shooter isn't much better (or worse) than its Master System counterpart.

Unnoteworthy. I like the way your gun works, the way it sweeps when you stand still and all. It has 2 maze stages that bog it down a lot though, and I don't have fun with the 1st-person bosses.

Like so so SO many other 89-90 Genesis games, it's cool for the time but little more compelling than a C-tier NES game today.

Tiros, bombas, puñaladas y flechas explosivas. ¡Y eres Rambo! ¿Qué mas necesitas? Este juego te promete acción, acción y mas acción. Me encanta destruir tanques y helicópteros con un arco. Un juego corto y no demasiado difícil, pero muy divertido.

Some top down shooter from the Genesis' tiny baby years. Excruciatingly difficult, but it's pretty okay otherwise. It helps that it's really short, I suppose.

Short, okay looking game. Very tough Ikari Warriors homage with the occasional first person bonus section where Johnny Rambo has to take down some offending helicopters and tanks. There's not really much to it, the levels offer the illusion of size, but they're just maze-like, filled with boring tiles. Rescue the prisoners, shoot many Russians, escape. That's about all she wrote. The music, if you can call it that, is quite ugly, getting into what sounds like a steel drum calypso at one point, which is probably meant to hearken back to Jerry Goldsmith's score, but ends up sounding like a typical day out at Brixton market.
