Alone and in the wild, Lara must scrounge, scavenge, craft and survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies, both man and beast, by night. This is her ultimate woman-versus-wild test to push the limits of how long she can survive on her own in sprawling, unforgiving landscapes. Fire takes fuel, cold kills the unprepared, food restores health, but everything must be caught, collected, or crafted. You start with nothing and must find everything. Challenge friends to your longest survival run and battle to the top of the leaderboards for the title of Ultimate Survivor.

Quite simply, what the hell were they thinking? Gatekeeping this mode behind a paywall and inherently making it obvious that this is content that should've been with the game for free, however, they decided to charge for it instead!

Rise of the Tomb Raider: Endurance Mode is an expedition mode that is already included if you have the 20 Year Celebration version of the game.

Endurance Mode puts you in the Siberian Wilderness where you have to survive for as many days as possible while trying to find as many artifacts as possible. While doing that you also have to be careful not to raise your hunger and low temperature level.
Don't think it's going to be an easy challenge, the Siberian wilderness will try to test you out more than you think. Also, don't forget that not only wild animals will try to kill you, but also Trinity is on the lookout for more artifacts as well.

All in all a great add-on that uses the environment where the main story was set to make a semi-survival game mode that adds more hours into the game.

I love the idea of this mode, and I think it works well as a survival game – I got so many close calls where my hunger or temperature were low, and it makes every combat encounter that much more tense. I just wish it had a more clear goal than just “Survive until you find the big rescue fire thingy and then you can just end it here or keep going for points I guess”. The fact a day 1 and day 10 run don’t do much different other than put you higher on an online leader board means I feel like very few people will truly get invested in this for more than a couple of runs. I think having some kind of progress to carry over, and collectibles to find between runs (that you only keep if you survive) would do great for it.

Also the whole randomly generated map thing is pretty useless when the map is just one big blank snowstorm with all the caves you find feeling exactly the same.
