Yoomp! is an 8-bit Atari action game. Bounce the ball through 23 three-dimensional textured tubes, collect as many points as you can and try not to fall off the edge!

Interesting core gameplay -in theory- but very, very quickly butts up against its own limitations and poorly thought-through mechanics and just plain feels bad to play. As a rule pressing the (only) action button and then having to wait until the game feels like executing it is not an awesome gamedev idea, just in general. Real easy fix for that too, just have the ball immediately bounce down and then back up when you press jump, wherever you are in your arc, like the bubble powerup in SONIC 3/KNUCKLES. Problem solved! But, no one asked me, so. Alas.

Yoomba is a great 2007 Atari 800 Game that honestly reminds me of that of the flash trilogy of games: RUN 1-3.
Here the point of the game is to use your ball to get to the other end of a level, your ball is able to go in a full circle above or below the course. However you have to be wary of separations in the course. Separations in a wide game in the course will cause you to use your limited number of super jumps. You see your ball bounces throughout the course in a simple small bounce while moving forward in a behind the back 3rd person/ball view. Sometimes these large gaps require you to use your super jumps, however if you are able to save your super jumps, then I suggest you do so as, in harder levels, it's better to use them later, as opposed to too early.
Yoomp! Feels both nostalgic to me as it reminds me of Run (even thought that was released in 2008), it's such a fun trial and error game I had a great time with!
