This review will probably be updated when this comes out on switch, but I gave this a try with my admittedly older ipad + Dualshock 4 on AA, and while it was charming, the controls felt extremely eh to me, which hurt the entire experience as a result. I'm eagerly waiting to see if the full version fixes this, as I didn't finish the demo

Eeeh, it was… alright?

I really enjoyed the story and the characters grew on me, but the platforming sections and bosses were a pain and the game just felt unpolished.

I probably sound more negative than I actually feel about this game. It‘s not a GOOD game, but I had my fun with it. Well, most of the time at least.

I really enjoyed my time with this game, so much that even though I had the digital edition I ordered the limited edition just to own it too. It was such a cute story, great characters and humour, and even though the gameplay was simple, it never really overstayed its welcome, and was a nice break inbetween the story segments. I saw a lot of the twists come before they happened but it was still very interesting and interesting way of presenting the story too. It even made me cry a couple of times. Loved it.

Pretty underwhelming but not bad overall. The game feels like it's aimed at kids which has an endearing touch to it but it also lacks any of the impact you would hope for from the mad lads Uchikoshi and Kodaka working together. The characters are well-designed and can have some cute interactions when the super japanese dialogue isn't neutered in translation. I think the only time they managed to succeed with anything emotionally in the story was at the end with Reycho but there were still plenty of charming moments like whenever a character would awaken their hidden power or when everyone would celebrate with their goofy hand-waving dance. The singing parts were fun too even if they were exceptionally cheesy. Otherwise though the story was kinda weak and the gameplay sucked. A puzzle platformer with very simple puzzles and super clunky platforming just doesn't make for an enjoyable experience, especially with one-hit deaths. I liked the idea of every character having a unique ability but actually using the abilities was always okay at best and awkward at worst. The artstyle was nice but hindered by stiff animations and the soundtrack was pretty good as well.

I hated this at first but once I stopped comparing it to Kodaka and Uchikoshi's previous works, I ended up thinking it was just okay. Don't expect it to be anything crazy.

i really enjoyed the story! it was sweet and touching. the kids are wonderful despite falling to tropes occasionally but what game doesn’t feature that when it has an ensemble cast? the platforming leaves much to be desired but it still is a good play.

I really don't know how to put my feelings into worlds for this one cause its got good ideas just such odd execution

A really nice, fun and charming adventure!
The group of kids that it follows are really wholesome and heartwarming, it is so cute.

The gameplay is a little undercooked. The platforming feels wonky and unresponsive at times which can lead to some frustrating moments though the checkpoints are very generous for putting you right back where you failed. It's also a little annoying how often the gameplay gets interrupted by characters telling you what to do but it is still enjoyable to play.

The story does have some familiar plot points if you've played any of the writers previous games before but they did an excellent job at throwing some really cool plot points during the last third of the game and it is a pretty gripping experience. There's some really strong heartfelt moments throughout (I love Vanilla and Pochi's arcs so much) and overall, it's just a really nice adventure across Japan with the cutest group of kids ever.

Go-go-go getters will never fall apart!

gameplay is nothing but fun characters and pretty interesting story along w takegarou's goated character designs carry it overall

nada mal! El final me dejó softie 🥺

Pochi fixed my water supply, harvested my crops, and delivered vaccines to my home.

...Ok he didn't, but he's still the best boy.

the mgs4 of dungeon crawlers [DEROGATORY]. baby's first infinity game [DEROGATORY BUT COULD HAVE BEEN COOL]

'Hyper-ultra super-duper poe poe amazing' game with surprising turns in plot. However a little confused with the target age demographic as there's swearing but asides from that it feels like it's a story written for a child.

This game sucks so bad, the controls feel awful, I hate the characters, the levels feel repetitive and barely interactive -- if they wanted to make a visual novel they should have just made a visual novel

Very disappointing game coming from such good writers, concept/promo art is gorgeous though
