All of the DLC really improved the base game a lot, and the final horizon in particular is very enjoyable and has probably the most memorable sequences in the entire game. While the boss rush near the end is really difficult, I prefer this ending to the base game's ending as it is much more fun and visually entertaining. The other playable characters is also such a massive improvement to the flow of the game. There are still a few wonky controls but otherwise this is a great way to cap off Sonic Frontiers.
While this game was pretty fun, it also felt pretty unpolished in several ways. The controls just never felt right and there was occasional clipping through objects at bizarre times. However, this game has a LOT of content to offer and is fun throughout it's entire stay. Really enjoyed the Cyberspace levels in particular. Just running around also feels great and is a lot of fun when exploring new islands.
This game was an OK sequal to Kingdom Battle. I feel like it improved a couple things, but also was flat out worse in others. Some design choices are great: the battles and progression system are fun and an improvement IMO. But I DESPISE the UI because it just feels clunky, and I don't really like the direction in terms of story and presentation. The partial voice acting was just weird, not really a fan of the Rabbid OCs, and the references to the Mario Universe were cool, but a little too sparse. Glad I got this game on sale, but its still a good game.
