my favorite rhythm game????
This is Guitar Hero at its absolute best. There's a great custom charting community with thousands and thousands of charts available in every musical genre from classic rock to progressive metal to J-pop and you can also get official rips of songs from all the old Guitar Hero and Rock Band games. You can play with a keyboard or one of the many various Guitar Hero/Rock Band controls that are supported, the latency is great and if you download Hamachi you can even play with friends. Seriously, if you're even a casual fan of rhythm games this is the best one out there that can provide hundreds of hours of entertainment, a true classic of the modern age.

The most fun rhythm game out there. I always feel like I'm improving when I play it. The guitar controller is so stupid and yet so effective in making it feel like I'm rocking the fuck out. I know I'm not playing real guitar, but it feels amazing

Great game. It's Guitar Hero/Rock Band, but you can add custom songs. What's not to like?
Since this is a free to play game i decided to give it a try. I can say this is not for me, i found the menu clunky to navigate and too bloated right from the get go.
The songs are bad and the controls didnt work for me, after less than an hour i decided to uninstall this, maybe its a good fan mod for people who like games like Guitar Hero, but as a game its not inspired or creative.

not having a guitar makes playing guitar hero pretty difficult huh
Why the actual fuck did they decide that of all the games Guitar Hero 3 was the engine and hit detection to emulate. Oh yeah, because if they didn't all those stupid kaizo charts would be literally impossible.
And that's not going into all the missing Rock Band features, or how the high score system lacks the most basic features...
I haven't tried YARG yet, hopefully it's better.

Fulfills the purpose of being a Guitar Hero for pc
A rock-solid Guitar Hero clone for PC which not only allows the use of existing guitar and drum controllers, but features tons of customization, a near-infinite list of custom songs by the community, and so much more to the point it makes all the Guitar Hero and Rock Band games completely redundant.

Pretty good game
Fun rhythm game with an active community that makes custom songs, and allows you to put any old Rock Band and Guitar Hero soundtrack into it, but that said, it's only going to go as far as the custom songs you get go, and personally a lot of them fell flat for me since they were Expert only, making it not as fun for a more casual player like myself.
Pretty much the best of all worlds when it comes to Guitar Hero. Perfect for custom songs, and also adds a ton of features to make it super accessible.
I just wish the Mac version still supported my Xplorer Guitar. I can only play with a keyboard now.

Really I’m just happy these games can stay alive thanks to this game and it offers the perfect GH/RB experience. You literally make your own set list and it feels great to play as well. Enough said this is like peak.

Guitar Hero
If you like Guitar Hero/Rock Band this is the ideal way to play it. Even if you don't go grab the easily found rips of every Harmonix/Activision chart (Google clone hero spreadsheet) you could just grab any of the tons of fantastic custom chart packs that are out there and have a great time.
