This game is a 5/5 from the overall art style alone.
This is one of the very few games that I can say without a doubt lives up to its long time pre-release gaming showcases. I have not yet played the DLC, but I can only imagine that it is just as amazing as the main game. Not to mention the Netflix series is phenomenal for a quick watch.

Cuphead's hand-drawn animations and watercolor set pieces may have been influential for their time, but I'd need to research games from a few years after to be certain. What I do know is that Cuphead's run(?)-and-gun fights and platforming are good, but not new or outstanding.
Cuphead's effort is spent on the visual presentation of its bosses and environments, but not the feeling or experience of play. The game almost feels muted without the visual presentation to fill in how flat it is. Bosses are also very safe in their design. It's no coincidence that the bosses considered to be the hardest are those that break from the formula of eclectic projectile dodging that gets easier yet more visually bombastic as the fight goes on.

Excelente banda sonora + Excelente builds y combinaciones de disparo y power ups + un hermoso estilo visual + excelente distribución y composición de niveles + una dificultad retadora = El mejor run n gun de la historia 10/10 muy recomendable
Maybe one of the most beautiful art styles in gaming, it's that one indie game which is like "whooaah, that game is pretty hard" it's really the truth, but when you get it, the replay factor turns into the best thing. One of the indies starter pack.
I'm sure it's been sucked off enough but this game's artstyle is incredible
It’s exactly what I expected: looks great and is really hard. At around the 7th or 8th boss I got frustrated and switched to some other games. After taking a multi-week break I returned, and this time, grinded my way to the end. Defeating a boss in this game is incredibly gratifying, and I felt accomplished when I KOed that last baddie.

Obvio llegarás a un punto de frustración porque este juego se basa en prueba y error y pasarás muchos intentos en cada jefe antes de terminarlo.
Sin embargo es bastante disfrutable y excelente juego en general!

El estilo gráfico, la música y todo el apartado artístico de este juego es único y pulido al milímetro, hecho a mano además. A nivel de gameplay es increible, dificil pero recompensa la paciencia y la habilidad.
La dificultad está bien construida, de forma natural aprendes a enfrentarte a desafíos mayores. Mi unica queja en este aspecto es que no es progresiva; hay bosses muy dificiles en el segundo mundo, más aun que los del DLC que están pensados para cuando has terminado el juego base.
Igualmente, no es fácil cheesear a los enemigos, no hay estrategias para romper el juego pero si hay herramientas para sentirte poderoso.
Respecto a la historia, es perfecta para este tipo de juegos. No hay intriga ni desarrollo, pero es justamente lo que este juego necesita.
10/10 para jugar solo y especialmente en cooperativo.

beating this game with a buddy is a bonding experience like none other
Main-bosses are pretty good overall, some of them suck tho.
DLC bosses are almost all horrible. Insane amount of screen clutter, bad mechanics, & bullshit.

This game has amazing artstyle, knowing that they manually hand-draw every frame of the animation of characters. Music is great, i have some songs from this game on my phone to listen from time to time.
For gameplay however it's only an okay game, outside of run and gun levels, which are bad.

Too many broken controllers. Cool game tho, I love the style and the challenges this game brings.
I hate rage games but the graphics and sound effects are gorgeous
