This game is a childhood favorite of mine, and it sucks. The Story is the same as the movie but leaves out a number of details making the story less meaningful than the movie, and moments that the animation ruins sense of, Marlin goes after the mask when the boat is going slowly away, during the next mission, he finishes sections and doesn't go for the mask that just passed him. The Characters are the same as the movies, with the same voice actors (mostly). The Graphics are not great, but the style of them makes them more beautiful to look at then models that have better pixels. The Gameplay is fun to explore thanks to the animation, movement, kid like side tasks you can do and music, although there are different types of levels, including bouncing missions, stay close to the center missions, collect Athons, races, follow through the yellow rings, press switches with both Characters missions and dodge the predator missions, although the press switches puzzles can get boring cause you have to go to the start of the level switch characters, and the whole getting past obstacle challenges don't make sense when their fish and can swim around them, and there also fire under water., 1 of the levels have you drop pebbles into a tank that wasn't there before that the other fish could have done before nemo arrived, 1 puzzle has you hit a lever to drop a diver you can't see at first, how could anyone know you were surprised to do that?, the time limit missions make it impossible to complete 100% on first attempts without fail, Float burses the balls you use, Bruce says you can hit mines 3 times, even before it would explode if you hit it once, and the first one never bursts, you can swim through pipes 1 level, but when you reach the end you swim through another one through the metal parts, but the stupidest one of all in terms of gaming, is that if Bruce catches you, you survive and he loses you, WHICH IS WHAT YOUR TRYING TO ACHIEVE, YET THEY TREAT IT AS A FAIL, I don't understand how someone can think that idea up, they should have animated them dying, like they did with nemo when he hits steam, stuff like this clearly shows they were focusing more on gameplay than making sure the story makes any sense from it. The Music is beautiful and makes me want to play this game just for that, but it can't save the rating. Sounds work great and shows where the quality of this game went to. Collectables are fun and makes you want to collect them with fun animations to, even though you only get 1 pointless mission where you play as all 3 characters in it. This game was even more disappointing because they had the skills to think of a great game, but the problems I mention ruin that.

I mean. Yeah. It's not horrible I guess. Lots of confusing level design and dumb puzzles. They also used scenes from the film at times, which really jars with the GameCube-era graphics. Do fish have lips? Nemo sure had polygonal fish lips.

WHY THIS GAME WAS SO HARD HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

this game is a war crime

also don't play this on gamecube

Even as a kid I remember this game being a little wonky. There's no HUD for 90% of the game which feels weird, even if they were going for an "immersive" experience. Most of the game revolves around you swimming through different sets of rings or solving minor puzzles.

One of those really hard games based off of a childhood movie that made us mad. But we could never stop playing.

o primeiro jogo que eu joguei na vida

não lembro de nada além de ter que nadar por dentro de anéis verdes

Loved the movie but I honestly don't remember anything about the game. Seems like I couldn't figure out what to do as a kid so I lost interest. Or maybe I stopped at a scary part and yeeted the memory from my brain.

anyone who's ever played this game for long enough should be familiar with the horror that is the bruce submarine level slide puzzle

I did some speedruns on this game. It was amazing. Peak fiction, even. 7/10

For a film-based GBA game music and graphics were outstanding. Gameplay, however, was mostly very easy but with some frustrating parts... which isn't nice at all.

this was in a GameCube I bought secondhand and was not in the listing. Owner did not want it back and I fully understand why

This game was fascinatingly difficult for child me

literally never got past the second or third level

é legalzinho pra pegar e zerar so uma vez

i used to have this when i was a kid and playing it again i can understand why i didn't get far, the levels on this are either easy or really hard for no reason, and some of the gameplay got pretty repetitive, lots of going back and forth and following characters through rings. it had a few big aspects i didn't like but i'd say i had a pretty good time with it otherwise. the character designs were funny looking.

This game is pretty much average. Could be better. The soundtrack is very good. Voice acting is good. The gameplay levels is fun. I like the chase sections.

Why is this game so hard? I understand if it's where the game gets hard as you keep playing, but the difficulty spike on here is just bad. Whoever controls the lighting of the game needs to rework it. I mean a lot of levels are so dark. I mean it caused me so many deaths because I can't see anything. I know what you guys are thinking "Maybe your computer's brightness is low." ....It is on 100% lol. And the worst thing about this game is... the sliding puzzles. It's not that they are hard, it's that they are very time consuming. Whenever I see one I am just like, "Jesus christ stop..." It's not giving the game variety, it's just giving the game more stuff only to fill up the game's run time.

Overall, I definitely see the potential of this game. Maybe give fixed the difficulty spike, brighten up the levels, and remove the sliding puzzles. If these issues are fixed then this game would went from 3 stars to 4 stars.

Whoever thought to add sliding block puzzles in this game needs to be fired

Loved the movie tho

The only game I remember clearly playing on the ps2.
