i see a bright future for you my son

Not my kinda game, but even I have to admit what a great achievement this is.

Even if it's really dated by today's standards, it was revolutionary for its time. It can be fun if you're okay with old clunky stuff, but don't expect it to be very good nowadays.

Aged very badly but was the foundation for a whole genre so it deserves respect.

I honestly don't think I could play this one after playing GTA5 and San Andreas first, since the missions aren't very good compared to newer entries, and the mouse look is god awful, but I respect it for being one of the first of its kind.

I get that it's a revolutionary game but playing it sucks so much ass, I forced myself to finish it.

I love GTA but had never played this one before. Finally did it. I wanted to do a 100% completion but got bored after finishing the story line missions...still sad about Asuka's death. Miss her. Also, fuck Catalina...my boy Claude didn't deserve any of her bullshit

Блин, играть на ПК, а потом на Видроеде в машине, когда ты ведёшь машину в GTA прикольно, страшно увидеть машину из GTA рядом с собой

I'm super close to finishing the game but it was already tiring me out with so many of the ways it has aged badly, such as how it lacks an in-game map, but the mission where you destroy the 9 cartel stands genuinely just broke me, so I'm just gonna skip to Vice City for now. Super tired.

deveria ter a opção de plataforma magalhães

Um dos melhores GTA que já joguei !!

Un sólido precursor de los mundos abiertos a pesar de su mal envejecimiento y dificultad a veces injusta, aún así sigue siendo muy divertido.

lol I first played this back in 2013 on my iPhone haha

Didn't play this until maybe closer to 2010 than 2000, aged pretty poorly, still got great writing, an interesting world and good enough weapon variety. Did a lot more for games as a whole than it did my entertainment

I asked for Vice City for Christmas and got this instead.

This is one of the most poorly aged games I've ever played.

But once I got used to it, I was teleported back to 2001 and I loved every second of it.

That initial hurdle of taming the aged mechanics will prove understandably too tall a task for most people.

Although following entries in the series cemented GTA as an essential franchise, GTA3 was, fo many people, the first one they played and by far the best one, the best video game we'd seen in years, one of the best games of all time. Truly a classic!

shoutouts to steven for fucking up my whole life

I remember this game being really difficult.

BIG UPS MSX FM MOVING SHADOW IN YOUR AREA COMIN LIVE FROM LIBERTY CITYYYYYYYYY

Same as Vice City nostalgia that's kinda all about it the game is not that good at story

Nothing says murder every single person in the bank without mercy like a letter left on a bench does.

While this game still has its charms, I think the mission structure is pretty bad. It's a fun sandbox to mess around in (which I have a lot of nostalgia for), but actually doing the missions and playing the game feel extremely dated.

nonsensical mission objectives and some of the worst traffic ai with overly aggressive gang members makes this one of the worst gta games for plain free roaming (not like theres much to do outside of the story anyway)
