I loved it but last parts are a little underwhelming.

great experience if you like reading a navel-gazing guy's over-analytic thoughts for 20 hours (i do). interesting developments between the loops - i particularly enjoyed hashimoto as a heroic antagonist later in the game. big fan of the the way the loops damage some characters' empathy until they're shocked out of it, as well as the bit before the end of the game where you can talk to some previously antagonizing characters on neutral ground. there is a lot of lazy characterization here, though, especially for the characters out of focus. the ending is so comically stupid that i honestly ended up enjoying it but i can definitely see why it's ""divisive" after all that

As a fan of Werewolf-style games, this was a story I found myself enraptured by with a constantly evolving cast and story revelation and twists. The game begins slow with allowing the player to get acquainted to the world as an outsider to the actions before getting them involved in it. As well, much of the game subverts the expectation of the player, especially in how players would likely jump to the conclusion that their actions will be the proper solution when that is quickly proven incorrect.
The pacing is an exercise in removing the player from the player insert character. Haruaki Fusaishi is most certainly not a conventional protagonist, with him spending the majority of the story being both selfish, self-centered, and conniving, but never to the point of being the active villain in the story, which was very surprising to see.
Gameplay-wise, issues for players may arise. The game is almost strictly visual novel, with the only player input being from branching path choices, which will largely be pointless as most lead to game over screens. Mileage may vary for each player, but for me, I was not bothered due to the strength of the mystery and character interactions. Additionally, the game is very wordy and does not have a dubbed option, so while I would have preferred to have had the option, I was able to get through it.
All in all, this is a game best liked by people who can handle a strict visual novel, but quite frankly if it doesn't hook you after the first trial, you'll likely never get hooked. I may be rating it too highly for its faults, but even years after playing it, it still revisits my mind, so the impact was apparent.

this game features the most dogshit twist i've ever seen in any VN. it's actually impressive

Haruaki is extremely funny

didnt know what to expect going into this but it was pretty decent! cool plot twists and way to navigate the story with the collection of keys and whatnot.

I've rarely been this angry at a VN

Very good until you reach the ending, THAT thing photonically sucks.

While I wish some elements of Raging Loop's plot had more resolution, it was still a fun ride from start to finish

i hate this game but i love it but i hate it

This game is really good until the ending when it kinda falls apart, but I still recommend it because Haruaki is probably the most interesting protagonist I've seen.

Who the heck is Haruaki Fusaishi

half a star for the soundtrack and werewolf mechanic. everything else about this game is so utterly despicable i want to off myself just thinking about it. i didn't think i'd find a game where i hated literally every single character but raging loop has managed to surprise me in the worst of ways, including this one

don't say anything bad about chiemi serizawa next to me.

A very engaging visual novel with lots of content and text to read, very interesting concepts and very afable characters even in their madness, I liked some parts but others could have used better work, the long time they took in each "werewolf" game was just fastidious so that subtracts some points for the complete enjoyability of it, it leaves some mysteries unsolved like the real identity of the MC but I think funnily enough all the good moments stay on the back of your mind after you play it.

Accessible and with a very well crafted plot, Raging Loop feels a bit disappointing regarding the art style of its settings and some of the endings are inconsequential but the overall result is an experience that is welcoming for both fans of visual novels and for beginners.
👉opencritic SUMMARY

Raging Loop is a visual novel that stands out not just for its plot but for the way it is structured and how the player interacts with it. Some of the endings feel out of place and the game's art style falls short of expectations when it comes to the backdrops but the overall experience turns out to be satisfying and the game is crafted in a way that plays perfectly in the Nintendo Switch.

i generally like how the time loop translated to gameplay and the general development of the protagonist's POV, it was pretty smooth and player-friendly. i don't think the time loop is the issue with the plot though i quite like time loop stories. the ending without spoiling however is absolute dogshit and even if you think the ending is fine because you like last minute plot dumps, it's still just generally very uncomfortable and not needed at all.

chiemi though 🙌🙌🙌

Very fun Visual Novel. The plot has a lot of problems but it's still charming and keeps your attention.

Very very good VN, it surprised me with its writing, characters, music, story.
I know, I know, the ending is controversial, but personally this doesn't bring down the whole game with it nor makes it useless after all, the journey I took far exceeds whatever happened at the end. Not like I heavily disliked the ending anyway, it was just ok.
I would say this is very much worth the time still!

i remember being completely hooked up until the part when the writers decide that it was cute to loredump near the end for some reason??? it ruined the momentum for me so i havent touched it since :/

"Taichi Kurosu Goes to Sustown" is a 2015 visual novel released by the un-copyrighted equivalent to Kenco. Its gameplay loop is more or less identical to that of the game "Among Us", but the characters are less sus and waaay more human.
While visual novels can sometimes be considered not games, this one tries to show otherwise by having a New Game + mode that recommends you replay it right the way through. Also of note is the inclusion of 2018 image macro "Big Chungus" as one of the characters, albeit in disguise as Tomitake Jirou.
However, not all is perfect. This has, by far, the worst media player option I have ever seen in a game. It's genuinely kind of ridiculous.
Overall, I'd give Taichi Kurosu goes to Sustown a 95/100 rating since it has an interesting story and some things.

Sweet jesus this final route was garbage

Ending fumbles but rest of the game is good 6.5

Game #37: Raging Loop

Raging Loop is an another VN that features the flowchart mechanic. Story is really good, in every flow you experience totally different things and on top of that it's humorous too. Definitely one of my favorite games.

9/10

Nice story some good play through some boring ones the length was too much for me couldn’t stay focus on some play through due to repetitive scenes and repetitive music not a fan of the art style
