The visual novel equivalent of a werewolf game. Its a fun ride for sure.

Interessantes Visual Novel. Wer mit viel lesen kein Problem hat, kann hier locker zugreifen.

final não é tão bom e os epilogos tbm não mas a experiencia por completo vale a pena, te amo Chiemi Serizawa.

Basing the story around a game of Werewolf and combining it with a zero escape-ish scenario chart with a lot of bad ends made it a really interesting experience. The pacing is very well-done and I was consistently engaged for the whole story. The characters are all at least a little nuanced and work very well for a werewolf game with how their behavior is adjusted according to their guardians. I especially liked Kiyonosuke since I love when the generally unlikable and stuck-up character gets more depth to them. Haruaki is an excellent main character that really elevates the story with his cool/comical demeanor, sound logic and borderline psychopathic attitude. The twists and turns the story takes are all pretty interesting, though I was kind of disappointed when they revealed the feasts were man-made despite there already being established supernatural elements in the story. The dialogue is well-written, the music is fitting, and the artstyle works well for the dark nature of the story by not being too clean.

Took too long to get going to the point where I couldn't bring myself to care, wasn't entertaining or interesting enough to remember the plot.

the game is good but... oooooh the pacing...

80% good, ending was kind of a letdown

A thrilling and very well paced VN with an incredible protagonist, a very solid cast otherwise too that ties into the great mafia scenes showcasing the great dynamics and thematic cohesion at play, a generally great atmosphere and sense of danger that's very present all the time, and most interestingly of all a fascinating perspective on themes of society and religion. Unfortunately the ending is a big sticking point and it keeps this from being higher than it could've been, but it's notable that it doesn't ruin what I did love about this VN.

Almost-perfect horror/mystery visual novel that centers around a mafia-style social deduction game. The conclusion of some character arcs in the final/true ending are a little unsatisfying, but it's overall a fun take on a classic deduction game, with a great cast.

Played at the start of the year and now near the end of the year I still think this is one of the games I enjoyed the most.

The ending is just an incredible catastrophe and some of the writing choices made are uh, not great. Still has some solid writing and a cast which is fine but makes you wonder how great it truly could've been if it stuck the landing in the last act.

haruaki fusaishi guy of all time

Fun, but a bit overindulgent VN.
Mc is a gigachad lol

I would genuinely forget the time while playing this.
It captivated me to the point where I could start playing the game at like 9 pm and next time I looked at the clock it would suddenly be 5 am.
The protagonist is extremely likable and fun which is rare for Visual Novels.
The game does kinda fall off towards the end sadly which a final sequence that probably could've been completely cut and the story would've been better off for it.

Raging Loop is the perfect VN. It balances horror, heart, and suspense in such a fascinating way. While there's definitely some hiccups and some tropes I don't like, this was my everything and honestly? Is my Visual Novel of the Year (despite coming out in late 2019.)

The first three routes are perfect 5/5-10/10 i fucking discovered who the villain was by the tone of the're voice, but the last route is such a letdown, it has it's moments, the beginning and some other parts, but the resolution of the misteries are dumb, but the epilogues are pretty fun, super weird sometimes and thats nice

Besides some weird parts, Haruaki my mc

Took too long to really get going and I lost interest.

characters (especially the MC) and the lore / mysteries are very gripping, if the premise of this vn seems interesting to anyone I would definitely recommend it but only with the caveat of not expecting too much out of the ending. ended up feeling a bit rushed, not quite hitting the mark and being more of an infodump than anything - still an enjoyable ride overall though!

Really great game, with an amazing premise and atmostphere as well as lore, and absolutely incredibly memorable characters - all of them are so fleshed out that it's impossible to not feel like you're part of the village as well. The plot progressed in such a seat gripping way that i remained glued to it for several days on a row until i completed it. And if that's not enough, upon finishing the story you get access to a sort of story+ mode, where you can reread everything again but this time including extra bits of dialogue outside the MC's reach, such as other character's thought processes and opinions and new scenes, that really add to the story and help complete the experience, explaining a lot of things you may have been left wondering the last time. I said it before and i'll say it again, the atmostphere and the characters are what make this game for me. The MC is one of -if not the most- interesting and full of personality protagonists you'll ever find in a visual novel, and this game wouldn't be nearly as good without him. The rest of the cast are all so lovable but nuanced as well, which really helps complete the feeling of humanity you get from them. The pacing was really to my liking, not too slow but no too rushed, and the resolution of the story has seen a lot of varying receptions from diferent players, but it felt great to me, even if some parts were a bit out of the blue in tone and scale. This vn would be a solid 10/10 for me, if it wasn't for the subtle but consistent nudges at romancing minors, which made me lowkey uncomfortablr in several situations, but mostly with Haru's route and Yasunaga-Hisako in their extra side story. Otherwise, really solid title.

I played this game twice, once through the normal route and then again fully with the revelation mode. I really really loved it. I'm not gonna be out here saying its perfect. But I don't think thats a good metric to have for anything. I found the story super engaging and I really loved where it went. I can see why people might not like the ending but I just adored it.

Haruaki is such a great protestant, he's such a freak.

I think this might genuinely be in my top 10 games. Though I don't know if I'm quite VN pilled enough for that. But I do feel it in my heart.

The final route doesn't really hold up, but everything leading up to it is so damn good it didn't really make a dent in my overall enjoyment. I love werewolf setups and it's fun to puzzle it out each route, and Revelation Mode is a really cool addition if you want to revisit the story (and I wish more mystery games had something like it). The localization is fantastic and handles all the cultural references and kanji trickery well. I want to put Haruaki in a petri dish and study him in a lab.

What if umineko had an actual ending

wait, the big plot twist is "she raped everyone"???

What a wild ride. It sure took it's time for 3 hours of introduction but when the game started it hits you with detailed concepts of folklore and forms a werewolf/mafia game out of that. The humor is pretty straightforward for a VN but manages to entertain. Also I love the protagonist and related to him a lot. Mystery was intriguing too. Builds the tension with the mysteries in the right way, up until the last keys. The game's pace became so slow that my sister and I were about to abandon the game. We mustered up our last remaining patience and beat the game. Ending is satisfying though, can't really complain. If you like time loops and/or mafia/werewolf, you're probably gonna like it.

Marked as spoiler because I'll mention gameplay elements, but I'm still far from having beaten the game.

I might update this review once / if I beat the game.

As other have mentioned, the pace of the game can be a turn-off. It takes a long time to start, then relatively early on, it introduces the mechanic of keys, which you obtain by usually dying and obtaining new info doing so, which will let you make other choices earlier in the story in your next "loop".

Well, in the first part of the game (several hours at least), you won't unlock any more key. You can die a few times, but it's always useless. That first part feels like the "control story", what happens if you're not much more than simply a witness within the mystery. Then, you get your first ending, the credits roll, and you are granted your second key, which will give you a new choice at the very start of the story.

That's more or less where I'm at, and it feels like the most exciting part of the story so far, even though things have been enjoyable up to now !
