So fucking boring. The world is empty. So easy to get lost. Not even any guns.

The best version of this masterpiece!

Does not withstand the test of time. I can definitely see how a game like this would've been revolutionary back in the late 90s, but as a modern experience... it feels very empty. Hell, 3D Zelda games that aren't BOTW have not aged well at all, and not being able to jump freely is a very strange feature that takes a while to adjust to, and even then still never feels quite right.

Not much to say about it... it's an old game that feels old. The only reason I finished it was because it was my only entertainment on a road trip with no internet access. Hyrule Field feels empty, the world doesn't feel cohesive and instead feels like dungeons glued onto one another, and combat is nothing outstanding. Puzzles are alright, if not a bit dated.

The subtextual methods of storytelling is still very excellent however. OOT and MM writes emotional scenes in a very subtle way, letting the music and atmospheric mood do a lot of heavy lifting.

Playing OOT will teach you a lot about the history of video games and games in general, but it's not the most fun thing to play if you have no childhood nostalgia attached to it.

This game is so overrated y'all are crazy. Nostalgia really hit y'all hard with this one.
I'd go so far as to call this game unplayable but that's probably because I played it 20 years too late.

this game is incredible despite the clunky controls and inherent growing pains of it being the first 3d zelda, it would be 5 stars had i been around for the original release
sheik is my absolute favorite character, she’s so profound and her words hit hard even now.
the six sages are great and all of their places feel earned, though i wish we got more of nabooru
the dungeons are mostly great (forest temple being incredibly memorable, water temple has some redeeming quality’s despite me hating water levels)
i love how the game expands onto itself with more and more items, you really have a full toolkit at your disposal near the end.
the music really feels like its own world, sheik’s theme left me stunned the first time i heard it
the battles u have throughout the game are surprisingly fun (my absolute favorite fight being phantom ganon in forest temple)
this game rocks tbh

(This is how you do a remaster, great visual overhaul & QOL improvements make this THE way to play OOT)

One of the all time great RPGS. Starts off strong & keeps the momentum going pretty much all the way to the end. Only really takes 10-15 min to get into the action with the first dungeon, and from there you jump right into the world of Hyrule. The variety of dungeons & available weapons to use keeps things interesting, no place really feels like a retread or chore to get through. Compared to future Zelda titles with ambitious overworlds & narratives, this feels much tighter. Great story, music, gameplay, & just a well rounded experience.

It better now that I don't have to aim with the n64 controller.

It‘s really good, I respect that it was revolutionary for it‘s time. One critique: The water temple was horrible and one of the worst things I ever did in a video game. It was so bad that I quit the game for three months. Context: I started the game in the N64 version played until the water temple, quit and then completed it in the 3DS version.

Overall it‘s a 8,5/10 for me.

It didn’t do much, but what it did was truly understood that made the original special and enhanced it.

Ocarina of Time with QoL improvements and more detailed environments

10/10 music
Amazing aesthetic and atmosphere
Great story
Most dungeons are good

What a game. If only there was a sequel that is said to be even better

an excellent Remake, it's really amazing on how a 24 year old game is an masterclass in nearly every regard when compared to most modern day titles out there, from the level-design, brilliant soundtrack and pacing, perfect translation of the series's mechanics to an 3D perspective, innovative mechanics with the Z-Targeting and so on.

this Remake is easily the best version of the game, butter solid framerate, UI is more easier to navigate, improved visuals while maintaining the feel of the original's art-style, Gyro aiming, much needed improvements on the infamous Water Temple and the inclusion of Master Quest mode if you want a new challenge after finishing the game.

it has some rough edges when looking back after playing future 3D Zelda games like the empty and boring overworld or the simplistic combat for example but honestly it's nothing too harsh when comparing to it's greatests strengths.

overall one of the best games ever made and I don't think it will age at some point, the Remake is fantastic and is by far the definitive way to play it especially if you are looking to get in the series as an entry point.

Only got to the water temple as a kid and found it fine. Recently beat it on the PC decomp and enjoyed it.

A bit overated and not the 10/10 best game of all time people say it is, but it is still excelent!

We all know Ocarina of Time's legenary status. It revolutionized the series, along with 3D games. A beautiful fantasy story taking place between two times, the game feels youthful on one end, and dreadful on the other. Dungeons are fun to explore, and don't feel linear.

The 3DS improvements are great, too, mentioning the water dungeon being greatly improved, and menus becoming much quicker.

Ocarina of Time is timeless.

+ Beautifully remade graphics
+ One of the greatest soundtracks known to man
+ Heartfelt story
+ Fun and rewarding gameplay and enough on the side to keep you busy

- Controls are better than the original but still sort of janky

Not the best Zelda, but still pretty good
