Just the simple fact that playing through this game me the exact same sort of joy that I got when I first played Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door years ago should speak volumes as to how absolutely wonderful this is.

It isn't hard but it's a damn good story with interesting gameplay mechanics

Existe un género que es "Indie bonito y lleno de corazón". Hay muchos así. Pero pocos son tan excelentes como éste. Una auténtica maravilla.

I love this game so much dude. Genuinely one of my favorites of all time.

Honestly one of the most joyful and pleasant games I've ever played. I got very frustrated with some of the platforming sections but it's such a delight in every other moment.

Fantastic game with an amazing story. Each and every NPC had so much life to them it was phenomenal.

Divertidinho, gostei muito. Gamer Tag (nome no xbox): xTiuJow557

I can tell there's a lot of nooks and crannies to explore but you just move too slow and I got bored lol

I really want to love this game. I don;'t know if it's because I'm playing it on Linux and using a dualshock controller but no matter if I'm doing mouse or doing controller, the controls for it just feel so wrong and hard to deal with. I'm fighting with the basic controls to get through a game with a massive amount of tilt sensitive movements and platforming. It's a shame because I love the colors, the theming, the singsongy dancy pacifist story. I guess I can just watch someone else play it, but it's very frustrating for me.

made me cry on both playthroughs. lol

This game was freaking amazing. During my first couple of hours it felt like it would become my new favorite game, and after completing it now that feels even truer! The singing mechanic is so fleshed out, and the game never stops to provide unique ways to use it to solve puzzles. Also singing is just super fun lol.

And yeah this game is so good when it comes to exploring. I didn't need to look up any walkthroughs; walking around and experimenting was enough (and I love being able to do that in games and be confident that I'm still making some progress).

Also I love the way this game uses the Steam Achievements, since in video games, only the hero can get the trophies. Super clever, I hope everyone can play this with the Internet on so they can see when Achievements show up and realize what's going on.

Another thing I gotta add is the damn story hits deep. Almost on the verge of tears at one point. I wouldn't consider it "dark" but its not afraid to get serious. The cutesy children's book art style is icing on the cake and I LOVE how the colors change depending on the scene. I took so many pictures during this game (I wish Steam let us record videos too).

Super epic game, I'm sure this will stay on my mind for a long time. I was kinda bummed out when it ended since as far as I know there isn't even a post game (I don't wanna stop being the bard ;-;). But its okay... The End is inevitable.

Klingt kacke, sieht kacke aus, 0 Gameplay.. wieso wird sowas entwickelt?

good game made me sad with myself

Charming and polished with some great writing, marred by some pacing issues (rhythm sequences that go on much longer than they should)

this is what we in the business like to call a mastahpeece, folks

I cried a lot, this game is beautiful

wandersong is a blissful, almost therapeutic experience that intertwines its musical gameplay with every part of its stand out narrative and characters; a rare game that actually has something to say and hits real emotional notes, all while putting a smile on your face the whole time

Really fun game. Really fun characters with great personalities, and hilarious dialogue throughout. It's a really wholesome game and I love it. The graphics area really neat, and the gameplay is really fun, with some really cool mechanics and areas.
For a game about music and creating music, the soundtrack isn't all that good though. The bard's singing ends up being most of the soundtrack, and it's funny, but it gets a bit tiring after a bit. That's my only real problem with the game though. Everything else is amazing. I highly recommend.

I love the story and the gameplay is really fun. I love how each chapter is unique and has it's own thing going on

This game really is incredible, and I'd love to dump all of the love in the world on it because it really deserves it, but I just cannot rate it any higher than this because of how poorly the game runs. I have no idea why it is it runs so poorly. My machine is more than strong enough to run this game 5 times over but the game caps out at around an unstable 44fps with pretty constant frame drops with no option to limit fps. Additionally, I noticed very early on in the game that the physics were messed up as well because I was having an incredible amount of trouble making a very simple jump. I searched it up online to see if other people were having similar issues as me and I found logs and steam community posts dating back to 2018 describing the same problems as I was having. How was this never fixed? I very much so wish I could just not mention it but it is something that affected nearly every moment of gameplay in my 12 hour playthrough. It seems like this is a somewhat uncommon problem and the game seems to run fine on most people's machines, so hopefully if you're thinking about picking this up you most likely won't have any issues, but I can't lie and say that it didn't negatively impact my experience with the game. Apart from that, I like that they put Mr. Oshiro in here and I think it's really neat that all the achievements are based around things the hero does. Plus the music is really great

A unique 2D platformer RPG where you take on the role of a cheerful bard aiming to save the world with his singing. The game places an emphasis on music and harmony over traditional RPG heroics. The abilities of the music wheel change with each stage, making the gameplay charming, creative, and fresh. The characters, though quite simple in design, have distinguishing features. Interacting with them brings forth a touching narrative that explores themes of compassion in the face of adversity and overcoming insecurities.

Overall, it's an uplifting and touching adventure that fills you with hope and joy.

ps the game has problems running on high refresh rate monitors. I'd recommend running the game on 60fps capped (change this from NVIDIA control panel or equivalent steps for AMD/Intel GPUs as there is no fps limiter setting in-game)

What a great unknown game. This game is so meta and great in a way I was not expecting. I assumed it would be not unlike Hue or something short and small like that, but it’s not that at all. The premise is that you are in a world that is going to end, and you are not the hero, but you still keep trying. I was pretty impressed with the character development, and really enjoyed the cute characters and writing. Strongly recommend this game to anyone.
