Very nice simple way to turn your MP3's into a rhythm game. The settings are a bit shit on modern hardware though.

A fun indie rhythm game where you surf to the beat of the song.

Got lots of music? Like to bounce to your music? Like to listen to music while driving?
You should probably check out Audiosurf, then, as it combines all those three in a killer mix, making for a truly enjoyable experience.

Fun game with good synchronization.

Audiosurf is a fun little game to pass time.

Although the game is simple and repetitive it remains fun to play. You choose a song, wait for the game to load and then ride your music! Pick up blocks, make matches and score the highest amount of points.

The game is a little broken because when you want to score high on the leader board, you just pick an incredible long and difficult song, name it whatever song you want, and the game will post your score in the appropriate track leader board.

The animations are cool and the sync between the music and the pathway is pretty well done. I enjoy playing it when I am bored or waiting on something else to download.

For the low price, it is worth it!

Audiosurf is basically the reason I got back into PC gaming 15 years ago (as of this writing); the ability to integrate my music library into a gameplay experience peaked my interest, and in the end, did not disappoint. The track-like structure of the levels allows one to experience the ebb and flow of their tracks, while simultaneously working in a sense of beat with gametypes like the block-collecting Mono mode. There are other gametypes, but that specific one remains my personal favorite for experiencing tracks.

thank god that my "old outdated" ways of listening to music (buying album cds and buying songs through itunes) allows me to enjoy this game to the fullest. its exactly what ive been looking for for years!

totally wonderful for what it is. this was the first game I bought on steam and booting it back up and playing it like a jukebox with my friends was a blast. I never touched most of the non mono characters due to my color blindness and unwillingness to try to learn how that shit works, but learning them is fun and chaotic.

one thing I don't love is how feeling good at the game and getting a high score are not correlated well enough. you can play moderately well with a character but still have scores half of those on the leaderboards without the game telling you what you're not doing.

despite that, it's still a blast, and learning some tricks to get high scores is fun.

very cool concept, no cool if you use streaming services

Fun, addictive way to listen to music.

i loved this game is it still around

Boring. Gets old quickly. Doesn't work with my Xbox Series controller.

This game is absolutely fantastic. The track generation algorithm works quite well, especially for electronic tracks. Very chill game, perfect for relaxing in the evening after a stressful day.

However, it requires you to have mp3s of the titles you want to hear/play. Back when the game was released, this was a no-brainer. Everyone I knew had GBs of music on their PC.

Awesome game with multiple modes, the fact you can use your own music makes it a blast.

Audiosurf is a rhythm and puzzle-solving game that transforms your music library into a track of colored blocks you have to match to get points for.

Gamplay is split between several modes, including dodge the grey blocks, hit the colored ones, co-op, collecting multiple colors, etc. The game can read in your entire iTunes library, which is very convenient and does well in generating a good course.

Visually, there's not that much going on, outside of colored blocks and lines, but when the music picks up, there are more colors and the course speeds up.

Overall, Audiosurf is a basic rhythm/puzzle game that can read in your music library. It's got both easy and hard levels, so there's a lot of variety in addition to the different game modes. Very enjoyable and relaxing.

It makes me wanna play Guitar Hero instead.

Worth the price to import a Between The Buried and Me song and laugh

As something to do while you listen to music it's not bad, but the way the tracks are actuated by music could be more interesting. Foundational for its subgenre though

The level generator does a better job of analyzing and generating levels from songs than any other game I've seen. Definitely a challenging game, but it's one of my favorite ways to experience music.

Procedurally generates a map based on songs you select. Great time waster if you just wanna listen to music.

Imagine being killed by a spotify subscription. Was fun before that though

first game i ever bought on steam, way back in 2012!! really cool, i wish there were more rhythm games that summon up maps based on mp3s you import, cool genre of game for sure

Qué juegazo, he estado a punto de reinstalarlo para escuchar en él 8r8k de Agred el mejor álbum de la historia. Le tengo 400h en steam de forma no irónica.

It was a creative idea when it came out, the idea that any song could be turned into gameplay was neat and the rollercoaster style tracks were novel at the time. I think the reality was pretty uninspired though sadly and acted more as a proof of concept. I had more fun just listening to my music than putting it through this.

i remember playing this back then and being amazed at being able to play any song i wanted

adding your own music makes this game fantastic - i did waste my time playing this to a lot of Brony fan-music when I played it, though

made more sense when music streaming didn't exist
