Batman: The Telltale Series gives you a whole new look into Bruce Wayne's world. You make tough calls as both Batman AND Bruce, which really affects how the story plays out. The action sequences are super quick and cinematic, and the Telltale art style fits the dark tone of Gotham perfectly. It has some glitches and occasional slowdowns, and the choices don't ALWAYS feel super impactful, but if you're into Batman and Telltale's style of games, this is a seriously gripping story.
Outside a few visual bugs, the gameplay experience was fairly okay. Regarding the story, well - there are a lot of things it does right and also a lot of things that it doesn't. Many of the plotlines feel like reiteration of existing batman media. Although the presentation generally does the storylines justice, sometimes it just falls flat. Many animations look unpolished. The voice acting is phenomenal but again, it's sometimes let down by the animations. It is also not all that consistent - some parts feel like a drag whereas some parts feel horribly rushed, especially episode 5. Episodes 3 and 4 strike the best balance in my opinion. What this game does exceptionally well is the portrayal of Bruce Wayne and the situations the player is put in while they're in his shoes. Overall, this game's a mixed bag but still enjoyable, especially for a batman fan.

I played this one a long time ago, but I remember enjoying it. This was made when Telltale was really getting good at the specific formula of choice-based storytelling, and this one is on par with the others. I remember thinking that some of the conflict felt a bit contrived, but overall I think they did a good job writing an interesting Batman story that had some unique spins on well-known characters.
One of the Telltale games that I actually wanted to play for a long time, unlike most of their other games. Expected the Telltale formula would hold me back from enjoying it and that is largely not the case here since the writing is particularly well done.
That being said, the Telltale technical issues were pretty apparent as characters just wouldn't appear in some scenes. Nothing like an emotional moment of someone conversing with thin air.

A solid experience overall. The Batman film with Robert Pattison honestly took a lot of aspects from this game, it feels weird. They follow many of the same story beats.
It maintains the standard Telltale formula with some fun Batman themed moments here and there. It does tell an interesting story overall. The choices lack impact this time particularly with Harvey Dent. But at the very least they attempt to do something different with a character and universe we've seen countless times.
Honestly, while it's a decent time, the second game just kind of overshadows it..
