It's a Batman game that homages Pac-Man of all things, even using that exact maze layout for one of its stages. It's an okay game, levels are quick and the music is fantastic, but I can imagine being quite upset if I got this as a kid as outside of the aesthetic, this is barely Batman. It has big reskin energy to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if this was originally supposed to be something else entirely.

Fun game. Simple, short, and sweet with an annoying final boss. Almost par for the course with the average PC Engine game I have found myself playing.

Only real disappointment was the music. It was eh but it's all music I heard in the NES game.

Producer: How's the development on the Batman game?
Developer: BATMAN??? I THOUGHT YOU SAID PAC-MAN!!!
Producer: ARE YOU KIDDING ME???
Developer: I'M DEAD SERIOUS!!!!!!!!
Producer: DUDE, WE'RE SENDING THE GAME TO FACTORY THIS WEEKEND. WE'RE SCREWED
Developer: WAIT... I THINK I HAVE AN IDEA.

And that's how the Turbografx 16 Batman came to be.

It's an interesting take considering how different it is from Sunsoft's other games based on the '89 film, and there's def some enjoyment to be had here. I still kinda wish it was a port of the NES game though

And here we have a nice demonstration of what a wholesome GTA could be: look how heartwarming Batman looks picking up Pringles cans that are making the streets dirty while crossing the road only by the crosswalk like a good citizen when cars cross with the traffic lights on red. Look at him cleaning up graffitis made on paintings that are ruining our culture...

Wait, Batman... NOOO WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DON'T PLANT EXPLOSIVES IN A CHEMICAL FACTORY, IF YOU BLOW IT UP IT WILL POLLUTE THE AIR WITH TOXINS FAR STRONGER THAN THE JOKER'S BALLOONS, STOPPPP
