The whole game i was just waiting for them to develop on Ziggys weird isekai shenanigans and they just never did

The best part of this game is that it takes so many genres and makes it work, the worst part of this game is it goes on for too long and the big bad has the gull to plead not guilty and request a trial by cooking... A trial by fucking cooking.

Here is a title that knows how to charm, by succeeding in both innovating and offering a particularly solid gameplay. Battle Chef Brigade is a success, whose accents are very much like a Proustian madeleine. The idea is to mix quite different genres in the same title: action-RPG during the hunting phases, 3-matcher during the cooking phases, the dynamic alternation of the two genres allows a very satisfying gameplay loop, especially with the fast pace of the duels. All this is underlined by a very charming soundtrack and beautiful hand-drawn scenery. The animations have a slice of life feel to them, which is typical of Japanese animation, but which is nevertheless measured and always in tone. A special tribute must be paid to the dubbing, which is of great quality for an independent game. The difficulty curve is well thought out, with the addition of new utensils, as well as the bones and poison bubbles mechanics: it's a pity though that the Deluxe version made the mistake of adding the Trash chapter just before the climax of the last chapter, breaking both the rhythm of the narrative and the progressive difficulty curve. His story is far from bad – though it seems a bit off-topic and excessively slapstick in its tone. It comes across as unexpected in the narrative economy. For the rest, Battle Chef Brigade offers a refreshingly atypical and very sweet experience. The combination of different genres – similar to the combination of ingredients in a dish – works brilliantly and I can only recommend this title, whose benevolence warms the heart, in the modern world of video games.

A delicious game, exquisite. It fulfilled a hunger that I didn't know I had.
I'd like it if it had a bit more content after finishing the main story because I played daily missions for close to a year after beating the final boss, but apart from the game is flawless.
The combat is competent, the presentation is great (the food looks delicious) and cooking is intuitive. I'm also biased but never mind that.

It's fine. It was pretty fun at first, and I really liked the art and the characters, but the gameplay loop just got too tedious and by the last few chapters I wasn't really having that much. Would be better if it was shorter and better paced.

A short and cozy game, with a nice soundtrack and beautiful art.
The game impressed me with the strategic aspects it brought, which was really where it shone and avoided getting too boring and repetitive, in my opinion. Trying different equipment for cooking and finding the best way to win with each build was the best part of this experience.

It would be fun to have more characters, so the online mode could be even better explored.

Still, I suggest to pick this game when it's on sale and play it when you need something simple and light-hearted (but not completely brain dead).

Juegazo, los personajes y el gameplay me atraparon, el gameplay es muy adictivo

Combining so many game mechanics into a fluid system is incredible. I think my only gripe with this game is that it's way too short, and that the puzzle/hunt/restaurant tasks start to become tedious after a while. Nonetheless, I really liked this!
