From my glitchwave review:
A Perfect Racing Game
This is how you make a racing game. The levels progress you according to skill. The better you are the farther you'll get. The challenges you'll face in the meat of the game range from time trials, crash events (huge explosions), races, king of the hill, and revenge mode (wherein you crash other cars to win a race). It's dumb, fun, and easy to learn yet hard to master. I love this game and I recommend it.
Additional notes: Bumping Gucci Mane while playing this is a trip.

I have given up on another Burnout game would ever be this perfect
you could do anything in crash mode to entertain yourself and friends could pass the controller around.
You can talk about Paradise being the pinnacle.
I seriously dispute that notion after this we have gotten maybe 2 decent EA racing games
This is my 360 memory ripping music to my hard drive and zoning out in road rage mode

this is the goat of burnout games bar none, the effects they used while ps2 was basically in its death bed was fucking insane for its time (one of the rare titles that destroys the 360 version of the game in terms of graphics) and the revenge mechanic is hella fun, add in the 2007 era of nu-metal edginess sovl (STORIES WITH UNHAPPY ENDINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and you got yourself a peak that will only get beaten by need for speed hot pursuit reboot that will release in 2010 (looking forward to it!!!)
Time to unwind w some Carl’s Jr.™ 😋
For me, what usually separates a good game from a great game is how much I genuinely want to 100% it. There’s so much keeping me coming back to this even with cycling through the same handful of maps, the experience is unlike anything out currently. They need to revive this series on modern hardware and with online, I’d never stop playing.
The only things that hold this back are the crash challenges which are just ok, and sometimes not being able to control your camera.

while it may not have quite the same feel as burnout 3 (although few games do tbf) revenge is still a brilliantly fun racer. everything just feels a little less satisfying, though. i dont know how you make takedowns, one of the funnest mechanics in videogame history, so unsatisfying to get but this game finds a way. i think it might have the best crash mode of the bunch. adds some bells and whistles to progression such as ratings that are just not very fun to deal with. the sense of speed is still fantastic, though. also i clipped through the floor a few times which was very frustrating.
