Wow, this game is absolutely stellar and could easily clinch Game of the Year if it were released in its current technical state. The story is captivating, and the RPG elements are executed flawlessly. Everything from the immersive gameplay to the detailed world-building has been done perfectly. It's a must-play for any gamer.

Still playing:

Incredibly immersive experience, the world feels full and alive. The writing, acting, and story are all top-tier.

The game has crashed on me a few times so far (PS5) but the autosaving makes it so that I don't lose much progress when it happens. Maybe a few minutes at the most. Still, would preferably not be losing any progress.

Enjoying it so far. Far more GTA-like than I expected.

I’ve been replaying Cyberpunk 2077 and it’s DLC and thought I’d give my thoughts on the game now that 2.0 has been out for a year or so.

I began replaying the game this year after having an itch for Cyberpunk content. Now after all it’s been through, I think it’s one of my favorite games. It’s come a long way but holy shit I love this game. I love the world, I love the story, I love everything about it. I love how engulfing the city is, how you can hate it but also love it at the same time. It took me a while to appreciate and fully embrace this game, I think but hey it’s definitely one of my favorite worlds now.

A bit of background on my experience with Cyberpunk: the game was one of my most anticipated for years, but I never ended up getting it on launch because of the horrible state it was in. I decided to wait and ended up getting the game on sale roughly 1-2 years later.
My first playthrough was entirely different to the one that I experienced with the 2.0. I used to think that a lot of the mechanics and gameplay was very half-baked, along with the exploration. It made Night City feel void and lifeless. On top of that, I played the most of my first playthrough on PS4 which was interesting to say the least. Overall I think the best part of the game was its storytelling, and thought for a while that the game was a forgettable gaming experience with only a good story holding it up—leaving me to not pick up the game for a while.
That was until Edgerunners came out, and after I read up a bit on the modules did my opinion change a little. Finished my first playthrough and that was that. I got Phantom Liberty when it launched, and I loved it. I still love it. The one thing CD Projekt is good at is making phenomenal DLCs and I’ve said it before but man I wish it came with the game. I used the same character I used for my PS4 save on my PS5; Nomad route and netrunner build. I ended up 100%ing the game and put it down afterward.

2.0 is the optimal version to play the game on, hands down. The update has changed a lot of things and added a whole lot more: they tweaked the skills and stats system, added cyberware options (which is one of the things I had complaints for), improved the exploration and immersion by adding things like transportation and more.
Cars still drive pretty bad, and the police system is still not the greatest but I’ll take it over the old system. Overall, Night City feels like a city now, not some devoid ghost town like before.

That’s all I gotta say. Cyberpunk is an amazing game, it’s come a long way. One of my favorites for sure now. I think that if it launched like this, I would’ve immediately loved it.

"I Just Wanted The World To Know I Was Here. That I Mattered."
For as long as I was in V's shoes, I was certain that I could make it to the top, that I might leave a mark on Night City and be a legend - that one day I might have a drink made in my honor at the Afterlife. None of that was made easy with a clingy, maniacal, egotistical, anarchic alter-ego whom I was forced to get along with and - I'd slowly realize - I was very much similar to.

The city can feel isolating at first, at least past the prologue, while being so overwhelming as well. There is so much to see, do, experience and yet you're constantly reminded of how little time you've got left to live - sure, there's no timer in the game, but "relic malfunctions" and deeper conversations with Johnny function as a way to make it seem as such.
Longer "side stories" with specific characters were a breath of fresh air, as they helped me feel more connected within the city (or right outside its limits), such that it didn't feel so lonely anymore.

Story beats were well paced and kept me on my toes, I didn't feel like there was a great gap between the base game and Phantom Liberty, although I preferred the latter's story overall. I have mostly done side content from the base game and very little from the DLC, so I can't compare the two on that point, but side quests were usually of high quality throughout - gigs and cyberpsycho events were not my cup of tea.
As far as the OST is concerned, a few select tracks really caught my attention (Samurai's, Lizzy Wizzy's, for instance), however I didn't particularly care for the rest of the radio tracks.
I was particularly annoyed with how the radio would cut out / come back on at random moments throughout the game / during dialogues...

I would be remiss if I didn't mention performance issues and bugs/crashes...
The game is certainly in a much better position than it was at launch, but it is still your "typical CDPR experience" (ie fairly janky mess), with vehicles and NPCs (dis)appearing out of thin air, bugs and performance issues. I've notably had a few game-breaking bugs and hard crashes.
Performance is not as stable as I would expect it to be, but most importantly CDPR managed to break both DRS and VRR/LFC on Xbox Series X, so that's quite the achievement...

Cyberpunk is a game where a lot is hidden behind a flashy and sometimes troublesome exterior. The choices you get to make will actually matter and that's probably one of the greatest draws to the game itself.

As I walk the neon filled streets of Night City once again, I'm learning what it means to be a face in the crowd...

GTA 2077: Welcome to Jank City.

As I walk the neon filled streets of Night City once again, I'm learning what it means to be a face in the crowd...

AWWWW
WE LOST EVERYTHING
WE HAD TO PAY THE PRICE

Completely different experience than my first playthrough. This time I went with a Throwing knife/Sword/Single shot rifle build with a boost to health. the choices I made in the game were different and made it feel like brand new and I had a great time. I recommend multiple playthroughs of this. Btw that secret ending is like a chef feeding me nothing but delicious food daily.

Thought it was really good! Really enjoyed a lot the story and was fun to be overpowered

Finally a game really understands just how cool i am

Fun game with lots of open world missions, didn't get stale for me although the skill tree system was a little bad and made it hard to be highly overpowered.
A few mods needed here and there to make it a perfect game.

I think this game has a very strange premise for an open-world RPG, which if I oversimplify is – You have a few weeks to live and are trying to find a cure.

Now obviously it doesn’t really matter, you have as much time as you need to explore, but in my head, I’m thinking “Well if I’m V, and I’m in this situation, why would I fuck around doing odd jobs when I’m on borrowed time?”
I know that’s only really a problem in my head, and it’s besides the point because I tend to mainline these things, only doing a fairly small amount of side-content anyway, but that story really doesn’t help me want to explore.

The game and story are solid, sitting in this interesting middle ground between GTA and Deus EX. Though I would say the game seems to have a lot of systems and choices you could tinker with to make your character stronger or do different things… but they aren’t especially important if you’re playing on Normal as I was. Rare was it that I had any difficulty with any extended combat sections, and considering I wasn’t doing much side-content I would have thought I’d been a little weak. One of those situations where I’m torn between thinking I’m glad I wasn’t getting frustrated, but I feel like on normal I should be getting challenged and having to actually engage with the games many RPG systems a little more thoughtfully.

One other minor quibble – weird issue where quest steps involve waiting for characters to call you – but they do not for ages until I messed around trying various things. This was a mostly glitch-free experience for me playing it today, but that was a little strange.

Overall, though, the story and characters, and the basic gameplay loops propelled me along, even though I wouldn’t say it’s doing much that’s groundbreaking.

bladerunner vibe and world except you can play in it for 60+ hours, wish johnny wasnt there to be honest but we make it work

Encore un classique de CD Projekt.

One of the best games of 2020's.

Despite its problematic launch coupled with tons of cut content (mainly RPG aspects of the game , unfortunately),it's still a solid game with decent story, great combat, awesome open world and fun gameplay overall.

If you are fond of cyberpunk genre and looking for an action game with sprinkles of RPG elements, this game is for you.

I highly recommend playing with at least a mid range pc or a 9th gen console (PS5 or Series X) as the game is groundbreaking in both graphics and other technologies.

Ainda bem q veio todo bugado pra n humilhar It Takes Two e RE8 no GOTY 2021, jogasso dms mas ainda prefiro Ir Takes Two, 10/11 (fiz o final ruim KKKK)

This review will be my final thoughts on Cyberpunk 2077, and I’m a proud gamer to say that I LOVE the living hell out of this game.

It feels like it was only yesterday when Cyberpunk 2077 first released. If you’re like me who has played from day 1 then you’ll know exactly how far Cyberpunk 2077 has come. In this review I will talk about everything I loved within this game and my perspective on how this game has changed over the years, and ultimately why I had such a deep connection to this game to the point that I consider Cyberpunk 2077 to be my favorite video game.

Now of course Cyberpunk 2077 had a super rough launch. When I first played back in 2020 I encountered a bug after just playing 2 mins. Little did I know I was in for a very messy game. Everyone has had their own experiences playing this game, everything from having a few bugs to having game braking bugs to people who have had corrupted save game files. This game had so many problems that took a long time to fix. And it’s sad to say the least because underneath all those bugs was a truly incredible game that I did in fact get enjoyment out of. But for this review I’ll focus more on what on 2.0 or later while somewhat bringing up things before the 2.0 patch. To start things I LOVE vehicle combat. I honestly didn’t mind very much that there wasn’t vehicle combat before but then I didn’t realize just how much I needed it because I LOVE that you can use your own weapons or even use built in weapons like machine guns or rockets launchers which are SUPER effective. Use can also use throwing knives and blades while riding motorcycles which is also a nice touch for those that want to go for a blades only build. I also love this new aspect to the game simply because it adds more immersion. I LOVE the feeling of getting attacked out of nowhere because I maybe screwed over a gang of goons by stealing something from them or for killing a high ranking leader to their gang. It brings up consequences to your actions I loved that a lot. I also love the new skill tree system. Before 2.0, yes the skill tree was a mess but it was still doable to go for a build you want. I usually do netrunner builds or a mix of netrunning and gunner. In my most recent playthrough I did a blades only build and I have to say it was definitely one of my favorite builds I ever tried for Cyberpunk 2077. I LOVE the feeling of being able to block or deflect every bullet coming my way and being fast enough to zero my enemies and throwing knives brought stealth to a whole new level. Cyberpsycho gigs were also great because you can duel some of these cyberpsychos and they can offer a decent challenge depending on how powerful you make V. As for my netrunner builds I absolutely love to experiment with what I can do. You can use quickhacks like ping which show the locations of all you enemies in a building or use quickhacks like suicide or system collapse to kill off troublesome foes with little effort. Or you can even have electrical damage quickhacks to easily take down robots or any mechanical enemies you will encounter. Or perhaps you’re facing an enemy with a sandevistan that is too fast for you to shoot them, in that case you can use the cyberware glitch quickhack to disable their cyberware long enough for you to kill them. My point being, there’s so MANY quickhacks to use for many different situations and that’s why I love messing around with netrunner builds but that’s just me. The graphics are beautiful and stunning and that’s not to mention that I LOVE the level of detail through the visuals we can see. The world is a story within itself by showing us these dirty and ghetto streets full of neon light and advertisements everywhere with crime and poverty around every corner. You can even find that the more rich areas are a lot cleaner and more well maintained not because it’s a safe place to be. The sound design is also VERY underrated. I remember going to Pacifica and hearing the speaker system that played ads being all messed up and glitchy showing us a nice small detail that Night City doesn’t really take care of their districts that they hardly have much control of because either gangs took it over or a big homeless encampments took over. The sound effects for guns sound solid and crisp and that’s great since some guns can have their own unique sounds. Something I definitely liked a lot was being able to collect iconic weapons which either belonged to an important character or just simply have unique buffs or features. Something that I didn’t like that the 2.0 patch did was remove the feature where you can change the scope for the snipers you can use. I HATE that this feature was removed because now you have to get used to whatever scope you get built into whatever sniper you use. And this bothered me because sometimes the built in scope sucks and it was better when you could use whichever scope you wanted. That aside you can still use any scope you want for most weapons and even add a silencer if you’re interested enough. And one of the best parts of the gameplay is easily the cyberware. Honestly I’m 50/50 with how cyberware works now after 2.0. On one hand I still love that you can use cyberware like double jumps or monowire or have an invisibility implant which helps a lot through your adventure through Night City. What I don’t like is how this is tied to your armor. Depending what kind of cyberware you want or need, your armor will depend on that I honestly preferred it more when armor was tied to the outfit you wore. Nonetheless, it’s not a big deal and is tolerable. There’s also a cyberpsychosis system where if you have too much cyberware you begin to have debuffs to make you struggle more in combat and honestly it barely made a difference to me since my V was still a powerhouse regardless. I loved exploring Night City finding secrets and really just enjoying the gorgeous views. 2.0 added a new fast travel system where you can now use the subway system. I personally only used that system once just to enjoy the scenery and I never really used it again since I’d much rather prefer to drive with my own free will. I always like to drive to my next objective just for the fun of it. And the soundtrack is GODLY in this game. The music always hits at the right moments and I love the radio music so much. I had many times where I just didn’t want to get out of my car just because I was listening to one of my favorite songs. In 2.0 there’s a portable radio where you can listen to the radio while walking on foot which I personally didn’t like at all. I like being able to listen to the world around me instead and I didn’t like how I had to turn off the radio every time I got out of a vehicle, so I ended up turning off the portable radio in the settings of the game.

And the story for Cyberpunk 2077 is something truly special. You start off by choosing one of 3 life paths which will change dialogue options based V’s views on the world, these can either benefit you in some way or just simply be there for the story. Anyway, the story revolves around V, a solo mercenary and a professional one at that who aims high to make it to the major leagues and be the best legend Night City has ever seen. But, things don’t always go your way and V is put in a horrifying situation where V will do anything to survive. The story had so many twists and turns and yes, some of those twists will depend on your choices. Your choices won’t necessarily affect the main story at least not to a certain extent but there will be different outcomes and some things will happen to certain characters. Yes, you will hurt people, but is it in your best interest? Or is because you want to do what’s right based on your morals. The reason I bring this up is because there may be choices you have to make and sometimes it’s tough to make these choices because you don’t know what comes nexts. There’s many characters you’ll interact with and I love most of them. Johnny and Jackie are easily the most hilarious characters. There will also be characters that you don’t get to know much about like Mama Welles or Evelyn but you’ll feel sympathetic for them because of what they go through. You’ll even meet characters you’ll hate and be willing to screw them over just because you hate them. There are side storylines for characters you can romance if you’d like and I loved it a lot because it really did add more for the story. Something else I loved are the MANY computer messages you can read. If you want to know more about some characters you can find out even more about them you would never guessed about them. And honestly, props to CDPR for EVERY last data shard in the game. If you have the dedication, please take the time to read as many data shards as you can because you’ll learn a lot about the history and lore of Cyberpunk 2077. I can go on and on about what loved about the story but what I will say for this review is that is among one of the best stories I’ve ever seen for it’s exceptional writing in a dystopian dark future.

At the end of the day, I’ve realized why I loved Cyberpunk 2077 so damn much. It isn’t just because I loved the story or loved the immersion. The reason I loved Cyberpunk 2077 is because it helped me rediscover what it means to have fun in a video game. And to have fun, you simply just got to enjoy what you got. And of course I’m not saying you have to enjoy what you got, I’m saying as long you’re getting enjoyment out of it then that’s what matters most and what I got from Cyberpunk 2077 is true happiness. This is a video game I will always remember from the bottom of my heart as a reminder to have fun. I really do want to thank CDPR for not only making a masterpiece but to thank them for giving me a video game that truly changed my perspective on gaming.

CDPR once again has outdone themselves. I did not expect them to top Witcher 3. But they did it !!! Yeah the game has bugs but so long as they aren't game breaking and frequent I can overlook them as they will be patched eventually or modded out. The story and atmosphere is ELECTRIC. This is easily the GOTY for me despite it coming out so late in the year. I do wish it was a little longer but none the less still a very solid experience
Johnny Silverhands is so legendary Ill go ahead and say it. He beats Neo in terms of Keanu's best role hands down. I had such a rough time In deciding who got V's body even knowing the outcomes they were both fantastic characters and I just wish there was a way to save both of em. The only thing I kinda didn't like from the endings is there was no good ending. No matter what V cannot win and that really got to me. Oh and the character creator colors should of been like a drop down menu. If you are a fan of a great story, great characters, CDPR, amazing graphics, sick gameplay you already know what to do.

"SO Wake the fuck up, Samurai. We have a city to burn."

What a goddamn nightmare. Music's a bop though.

If this Game would´ve launched in the state it is nowadays, it would´ve been praised as highly as The Witcher 3.
Rightly.
Its just a masterpiece
