Disney's Tarzan: Untamed offers a nostalgic return to the world of the beloved animated film but struggles to deliver a consistently satisfying experience. Swinging through the jungle and Tarzan's signature moves feel surprisingly fun, while the colorful levels capture the spirit of the movie. Unfortunately, the platforming can be frustratingly imprecise, and the combat feels repetitive and unsatisfying. While there's some enjoyment to be had, especially for die-hard Tarzan fans, Tarzan: Untamed doesn't live up to its full potential.

One of the first PS2 games we got for some reason. I almost started doubting it ever existed. I only remember not enjoying it.

difícil e horroroso, mas nostálgico

Hughh hugghhh aughhh huhhhghh uff ufff (translated from gorillian to english : Peak game I love trees, gorillas smash)

Tudo que lembro é dos jacarés e dos troncos das fases de surf na agua.

Nem lembro direito desse jogo

For Americans who are confused, this game is called Tarzan Untamed here. Now for the review, this game is short and annoying.

Man, some really great memories here. I remember getting scared facing the bosses in this game. Might give it a replay.

This was the first game I played on the Playstation 2. I remember it being too hard for a kids game and having too many annoying sections.

quase fui levado pela carrocinha jogando isso.

This game is really fun to play but have problems. The Story is that baby gorillas are being captured around the jungle for footage, and Tarzan goes to save the Gorillas and stop the Villains, this is a good idea for a Tarzan game, saving the other animals from bad people, even if it is just a film crew. The Characters are the same as the movie it was inspired by, and act as their selves alright, even if Tantor thinks he should go to an elephant graveyard, just for an injured trunk which just ends up causing the ending to be where it is, is not that good. The Graphics are good enough for the PS2 and the huge looking world makes the experience even more real. The Gameplay has you climb up trees, swing on vines, and slide on branches, and is designed as a trick performing game, as you get points for doing them, these are the fun of the game for sure, worth playing the game for that alone. The controls for swinging about are good too, but when jumping onto other platforms, it's possible to not land on it right and fall to your death, and 3 boss fights which consist of mashing a button until the other buttons show and press them in order from left to right when they turn blue, which are alright, there more rounds in each boss. There is a side challenge where you can bungee jump down a cliff avoiding things to go far enough to grabs more lives and a reel, these are small bits of entertainment and the third one is necessary to complete the story. But the stupidest thing in this game is how to find the elephant graveyard, instead of asking an elephant, you have to find enough reels to see where the film crew are going, I know it's and I'm pointing it out, and once you finish the game you can watch the footage, which is fine, except they never show that they had a second camera, so how could they have filmed the camera in the reels the characters are watching? that makes no sense.
The time challenges have you get a certain number of points to complete them and unlock other characters to play as, these are great, and the option to play as other characters in a nice concept. The Music is nice and feels like in place. Tarzan Untamed is a good game that is let down, by a plot point that makes no sense, preventing me from giving it a good review, because how such a big problem it is
